Taylor Swift has spent the last year selling out stadiums and breaking records — but one of her sweetest moments happened far away from the stage, buried quietly in a friend’s Instagram dump.
On December 31, Fox Sports star Charissa Thompson posted her annual “year in review” carousel, calling the past 365 days “unforgettable.” Hidden among work shots, family snaps and tributes to her late German Shepherd Daisy was a photo that sent Swifties into meltdown: Taylor Swift snow-tubing in Montana.
The previously unseen snap shows Taylor bundled up in a colourful jacket and snow boots, perched on a bright green rubber ring, laughing between Thompson and her longtime podcast co-host Erin Andrews. The winter escape took place back in March, during the NFL offseason, when Swift and her fiancé Travis Kelce invited the pair — along with their husbands — on a low-key mountain getaway.
The photo is pure off-duty Taylor: no stage lights, no glam squad, just snow, friends and freedom.
Thompson captioned the post with raw emotion:
“2025… wow!!! You were one to remember!!!! The last 365 days were filled with SO many unforgettable memories.” She added that OneRepublic’s “I Lived” felt like the anthem of her life, before paying tribute to Daisy, the beloved German Shepherd she lost in November.
Travis Kelce was quick to like the post, and fans instantly clocked the significance — especially since Kelce only shared photos of the Montana trip on his own Instagram months later, marking the first time he publicly posted Taylor since their romance began in summer 2023.
On their podcast Calm Down with Erin and Charissa, the two hosts previously joked that they were “responsible” for setting the couple up. Thompson admitted they had encouraged Swift to give Kelce a chance after he revealed he’d tried to pass her his number backstage during the Eras Tour.
And when the Montana trip finally happened?
Thompson gushed: “She was everything I’d ever hoped and dreamed she could have been and more.”
Still, the pair deliberately kept quiet at the time.
“Their lives are so public,” Thompson explained. “It was important to let them dictate the narrative.” Andrews added that they felt fiercely protective of Taylor and Travis, choosing privacy over headlines.
Now, with one snow-tubing photo, fans have been gifted a tiny glimpse into a rare, untouched chapter of Swift’s off-grid happiness — a reminder that behind the billion-dollar tours is a woman who still laughs in the snow with friends.
And honestly? That might be the most magical image of Taylor Swift all year.
