For the better part of the last year, fans have been wondering when Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift will get married.
In fact, Kelce proposing to Swift following Super Bowl LIX was one of the biggest prop bets fans could wager on during the big game.
While talks about the couple tying the knot have seemingly died down with Kelce seemingly locking himself away from the outside world while he’s at training camp, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid may have gotten the wedding juices flowing again after his recent radio appearance on 96.5 The Fan.
Reid was asked on the “Fescoe and Dusty” show what story he would tell at Kelce and Swift’s wedding, to which he was quick with the response.
“Well there are a few I can’t tell. No, there are a lot of great stories. He’s done so many good things, all the things he does off the field that people don’t know about, just helping people out. He’s got a big heart that way. I appreciate that the most.”
Reid’s answer promptly caught the attention of Swifties on social media, many of whom started a frenzy over the fact that the 67-year-old coach responded as if a Kelce-Swift wedding was an eventuality.
“Notice how he didn’t even hesitate at the wedding question..,” one fan pointed out.
“I’m sorry? THE WEDDING & Coach breezes thru like they asked him about the weather!?” another fan exclaimed.
“Wedding… taylor swift’s and travis kelce’s wedding… omg. plus the fact that he said it so casually. it’s most likely going to happen,” remarked a third fan.
“Coach Big Red likely has his wedding speech ready. He didn’t even pause to answer the question,” one user stated.
“LOL at what he would (or wouldn’t) tell in terms of stories about Travis at their wedding 😭❤️,” another user quipped.
Reid also pointed out that while Kelce’s relationship with swift may be a problem for lots of other people, it’s actually had zero impact on the start TE or the rest of the team like many analysts would have fans believed.
