Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel have been photographed with a newborn baby for the very first time — sparking intense speculation that the reality TV stars may have quietly grown their family.
The 35-year-old sisters were spotted in Arden Hills, Minnesota, carefully carrying the infant in a car seat before securing the baby in the back of their Tesla. Afterwards, the pair were seen relaxing together at the rear of the vehicle before driving away.

The sighting comes after months of swirling rumours that the sisters could be expecting. While the pair have not yet confirmed if the child is their own, the photos have reignited questions about their private lives, especially since Abby tied the knot with Joshua Bowling in 2021 — becoming stepmother to his daughter Isabella.

Both sisters, who prefer to live out of the spotlight today, first captured public attention back in 1996 when they appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show at the age of just six. That early fame eventually led to their TLC reality series Abby & Brittany, which followed them as they graduated college and navigated the challenges of adult life.
As far back as 2006, Brittany had declared on the documentary Joined for Life: Abby & Brittany Turn 16: “We’re going to be moms. We haven’t thought about how being moms is going to work yet.”
Born dicephalic parapagus twins, Abby and Brittany share one torso, with Abby controlling the right limbs and Brittany the left. Their unique anatomy includes two brains, two spinal cords, and two hearts — all functioning within a shared circulatory system. Despite the complexity, their physical symmetry has made them one of the most studied and recognized sets of conjoined twins in the world.
The pair have long been open about their remarkable coordination. In their TLC show, they revealed the extraordinary teamwork it takes to perform even basic tasks like driving. Abby once explained, “We both have our own driver’s licenses. We each had to take the test, and we both passed.” Brittany added that while both steer, Abby handles the brake and accelerator.
Despite sharing one set of reproductive organs, their individual personalities and independence have always been emphasized by both the sisters themselves and their family. Their parents once revealed they were offered separation surgery when the twins were children — but declined after doctors warned it was unlikely both daughters would survive.
Recently, Abby and Brittany even shared a TikTok video featuring molecular biologist Hashem Al-Ghaili, who explained their anatomy to millions of viewers: “Abby and Brittany Hensel’s anatomy is a remarkable blend of shared and individual organs and tissues. Despite their shared circulation system, their brains and spinal cords remain separate — giving them distinct identities and full control over their lives.”
For now, fans are left wondering whether the newborn seen with the Hensels is a family addition or perhaps another child close to them. One thing is certain: the sisters’ extraordinary journey continues to captivate the world.
