Davina McCall knows how to make an entrance — and at the BRIT Awards 2026, she certainly did just that.
The TV favourite arrived at Manchester’s Co-op Live alongside her husband, hairdresser Michael Douglas, and within minutes, social media was buzzing. The reason? A bold black mini dress featuring flesh-toned panels that instantly ignited debate — with some branding it “naked” and others calling it fearless.
A warning before the whirlwind
Before even stepping onto the red carpet, Davina McCall seemed to know what was coming.
Sharing a mirror selfie of herself and Michael getting ready, Davina teased fans with a playful caption:
“Me and @mdlondon are going out out!!! Don’t wait up for us kids.”
She then added a cheeky warning that would soon prove prophetic:
“@brits BRACE YOURSELVES. Good luck @jackwhitehall.”
And brace themselves they did.
The look everyone’s talking about
Michael opted for a statement blazer featuring a silver lightning bolt, paired with a white vest, black jeans and layered necklaces, his trademark long curls left loose.
Davina, meanwhile, leaned fully into high-impact glamour. Her short black dress with nude-style stripes hugged her figure, paired with sharp black heels, a sleek up-do and striking red lipstick and nails. It was confident, unapologetic — and instantly divisive.
Praise, outrage… and everything in between
It didn’t take long for opinions to flood in.
Critics were blunt.
“She doesn’t suit that dress at all,” one commenter wrote.
Another added: “Act your age.”
Others questioned who had chosen the outfit at all.
But for every negative remark, there was a wave of admiration.
“We need the dress link immediately,” one fan demanded.
“Omg how do you manage to look that amazing?” another asked.
One comment summed up the mood perfectly:
“Davina, it’s unethical how good you look. I cannot cope.”
