Savannah Guthrie, visibly emotional, returned to the Today Show studio for the first time since her mother, Nancy, was abducted over a month ago. The emotional reunion was captured in images showing the TV host hugging her colleagues and wiping away tears as she made her way through the studio in Manhattan, New York City.

In a statement to the Daily Mail, NBC confirmed that while Savannah intends to return to the air eventually, her visit on Thursday was primarily to thank her Today colleagues for their continued support.

Savannah, 54, looked visibly emotional during the reunion, as she embraced her co-workers and delivered a heartfelt speech. Her visit came exactly 33 days after her mother, 84, vanished from her home in Tucson, Arizona.

“We are so grateful for all of the love and support from our Today family,” Savannah said through tears. “Right now, I am focusing on supporting my family and doing everything I can to bring my mom home.”
Nancy Guthrie’s abduction remains a mystery, with authorities releasing chilling footage of a masked suspect entering her home, but no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.

The Today hosts, Sheinelle Jones and Jenna Bush Hager, were visibly relieved to have Savannah back in the studio. “It was great to see her this morning. She hugged every single person in the room,” Jenna said. “We’re happy she’s home with us.”

“Even though it feels like the hardest thing to do, Savannah feels that this is her home. She feels so loved here,” Jenna added, describing how Savannah’s strength to return to the studio is inspiring. “This is a step forward for all of us, and we are just so proud of her.”
Savannah’s last appearance on air was January 30, just two days before her mother was reported missing. Since then, she has been in Arizona with her family, navigating the heartache and stress of her mother’s disappearance.
In the wake of her return, Savannah and her family have vowed to keep pushing for answers. Savannah has even offered a $1 million reward for information leading to Nancy’s safe return. While the search has hit several roadblocks, including a controversial investigation led by Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, the FBI has pledged to continue supporting the search.
