Coleen Rooney has been seen without her wedding ring after her husband, Wayne, was caught partying with two mystery women into the early hours, just before the Brit Awards.
Wayne Rooney, the football star, was pictured at a pre-Brits party on Saturday night, heavily drinking and socializing with the women before the star-studded event.
Coleen Spotted Without Wedding Ring
For the first time since her husband’s boozy night out, Coleen, 39, was spotted running errands in Wilmslow, Cheshire on Monday. She was seen walking out of a shop wearing a cozy brown jacket, black leggings, and notably, no wedding ring. Her makeup-free look was paired with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. She appeared stoic as she exited the store, carrying a bag and getting into her car.
While it’s common for Coleen to remove her wedding ring when heading to the gym, the timing of this sighting—right after Wayne’s party—has raised eyebrows. Wayne and Coleen married in 2008, in a lavish wedding estimated at £5 million, with her wedding ring said to be worth £250,000.
Wayne’s Wild Night Out
The sighting of Coleen comes after Wayne, 40, spent the night partying into the early hours of Sunday. Photographs and video obtained by The Sun showed Wayne in a luxurious Manchester hotel, drinking and chatting with the two mystery women. An onlooker commented, “People who noticed Wayne were saying, ‘What would Coleen think?’. She wasn’t with him.”
Wayne had been with pop star Calum Scott before meeting the two women. By 1:30 am, Wayne appeared intoxicated, with one witness claiming he struggled to keep his trousers up after coming out of the toilet. The group spent almost two hours drinking and chatting before Wayne and one of the women left, each getting into separate cars after 3:25 am. Wayne was later seen leaving alone.
Wayne’s Battle With Alcohol
This incident comes after Wayne admitted last year that he had been reducing his drinking after struggling with alcohol during his football career. He confessed that without Coleen’s support, he believes he would have died. “I honestly believe if she weren’t there I’d be dead,” he shared.
Wayne has been involved in multiple scandals over the years, including admitting to using sex workers before marrying Coleen. Despite these turbulent times, the couple has stayed together and is raising their four children: Kai, 16, Klay, 12, Kit, 10, and Cass, 8.
