In a bombshell revelation, Paul McCartney has opened up about a conversation with Yoko Ono, where she confessed she believed her late husband, John Lennon, “might have been gay.” 🌈💔

The couple, married from 1969 until Lennon’s tragic death in 1980, were a symbol of love and artistic revolution. But in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2015, recently published to coincide with the documentary Man on the Run, Paul explained how Yoko, now 93, shared this deeply personal theory with him. 📽️💬
Paul recalled:
“I swear she rang me shortly after John died and said, ‘You know, I think John might have been gay.’ I went, ‘I’m not sure.’ I said, ‘I don’t think so. Certainly not when I knew him.'”

In the interview, Paul also reflected on his own relationship with John, describing how the two shared many experiences during their time in the 1960s, surrounded by women and living a fast-paced, rock-and-roll lifestyle. 🌟🎸
“John and I spent a lot of time together, and there was never anything like that between us. We were with girls all the time. I saw a lot of girl action with him, but nothing ever happened between us,” Paul added. 😳
However, Paul did acknowledge that there had been whispers and speculation about Lennon’s sexuality, particularly regarding his close relationship with Brian Epstein, The Beatles’ gay manager. Despite the rumors, Paul didn’t believe anything ever came of it. 💭
In addition to this revelation, Paul also opened up about his feelings regarding the breakup of The Beatles, admitting that he had often taken the blame for the band’s split. He even shared that hearing negative comments about himself in the media made him reflect on his role, confessing, “Whenever I hear someone damning Paul McCartney, I tend to agree with them.” 😢
In the same interview, Paul also discussed how emotional he gets when reflecting on his late wife Linda McCartney and the memories they shared together, saying, “Seeing me and Linda interacting is very special because she is not here anymore.” ❤️
With this stunning new insight into the inner workings of The Beatles’ relationships and Paul’s deep reflections on his personal life, this interview gives fans a new look at the legendary musician’s journey after the band. 🎤
