But their engagement story is refreshingly simple, and totally free of Instagram filters. “I remember our proposal,” Mark recalled. “Well, was it a proposal? It was more of an idea. You said, ‘We have the day off from work tomorrow. Should we get married tomorrow?’”

Mark added: “And you said, ‘Ask me when you’re serious.’ And I replied, ‘I’m dead serious.'” 💖

And here’s the kicker: Mark admitted he’s so glad they didn’t have Instagram back then, calling the modern-day social media proposals “so annoying.” 🚫

The couple tied the knot in 1996, eloping in Las Vegas just a year after meeting on the set of All My Children. And while the wedding was low-key, their love story couldn’t be more real. Fast forward to today, they’re proud parents to three children: Michael, Lola, and Joaquin. 🌟

Kelly also shared that their entire wedding, including airfare, cost them just $179! “$179 in total, with everything included,” she laughed, admitting that if they had planned a big wedding with all the stress of seating charts and venues, “we would not have made it.”

Her wedding dress—purchased for under $200—wasn’t even originally meant to be a wedding gown. “I just bought it because it was really pretty,” Kelly explained, and she’s still wearing it years later.
