Big Brother stars Elsa Rae and Marcus John have shocked fans by revealing they are expecting their first child together—just six months after meeting on the show. The influencer and mechanical engineer announced the news on Instagram, writing: “We’ve been keeping a little secret… our bubba due October 2026! We are so very excited xx.”
The couple shared a snap of their baby scan, a baby grow, and adorable knitted booties. Celebrities such as Love Island’s Amy Hart and Georgia Harrison were quick to congratulate the couple in the comments section.
Fans first watched Elsa, 22, and Marcus, 23, meet inside the Big Brother house in September last year. Despite some on-screen tension and awkward moments, the two quickly fell for each other and have been inseparable ever since the series ended in November.
“We feel very excited about being first-time parents,” the couple said in an interview with the Daily Mail this weekend. “Naturally, we were nervous at first, but we can’t wait for our new chapter and adventure with our new little life in it. We weren’t trying, but it’s the best surprise ever.”
Elsa added, “I never thought I’d find love, let alone the love of my life on TV, but one thing I did say to Will and AJ when they asked what would be the best thing to come out of Big Brother, I answered ‘a happy ending,’ and I truly got that. I couldn’t be happier.”
The couple is still early in their pregnancy, so there’s no birth plan yet. They’ve also shared that they plan to move in together in Manchester.
Elsa, who was born in Essex, first gained public attention during her controversial three-year romance with internet personality Ed Matthews. Matthews, 23, recently featured in Louis Theroux’s Inside The Manosphere Netflix documentary. He’s a social media star with 389,000 Instagram followers and is known for viral stunts and promoting toxic misogynist views alongside his crew.
Elsa and Ed split in July last year amid allegations he cheated on her in retaliation for her decision to go on the show.
Before her split from Ed, Elsa was known for sharing her life with him on social media, and she now has over 450,000 followers of her own.
Richard Storry was crowned the winner of Big Brother UK 2025, taking home the £100,000 prize. At 60 years old, he made history as the oldest winner of the civilian version of the show in its 25-year history, defeating runner-up Elsa.
Richard, who admitted he almost didn’t apply for Big Brother, was visibly stunned by the news. Elsa was praised for finishing as a runner-up, leaving the house to a roaring applause.
