Gemma Collins is at it again with her April Fool’s Day pranks, this time sending her Instagram followers into a frenzy by sharing an AI-generated wedding photo featuring none other than Britney Spears and Jedward.

The former TOWIE star, 45, almost fooled her fans earlier in the day when she posted a picture of herself in a wedding dress, suggesting she had secretly tied the knot. But, as expected, not everything was as it seemed, and her followers quickly realized it was all part of the joke.

But that wasn’t all. Gemma shared another snap of herself in a white dress, but this time, she was accompanied by Britney Spears and her close pals, Jedward.

“Best bridesmaids EVER!” Gemma captioned the photo, with Jedward responding in the comments, “When Britney sang as you walked down the aisle, it was breathtaking! We’re gonna cherish these moments forever.”
Earlier in the day, Gemma teased her fans with another AI-generated photo from what she described as her “wedding day.” In the post, she wrote: “Hey guys, I got married in secret recently. I didn’t marry as the GC; I married as the girl @rami_hawash_ knows pre-fame,” tagging her fiancé Rami Hawash, 50.
“It was the most beautiful day with the most beautiful people in a room filled with love,” she continued. “Sadly, stories started to circulate, so I’ve had to share this with you all now – now’s the time.”
Her post quickly gained attention, with fans and celebrities joining in on the prank. Comedian Seann Walsh joked in the comments, “It was my pleasure to walk you down the aisle,” while Jedward star John Grimes, a longtime friend of Gemma’s, added, “It was such a beautiful day. Loved being your flower boys, and when Victoria Beckham gave us all a Jepic dance…”
Gemma and Rami’s romance first began in 2011, but their relationship was on and off for three years, including a Christmas proposal in 2012. However, they split in 2014. After Gemma’s breakup with TOWIE co-star James “Arg” Argent, she reconnected with Rami in 2020.
In 2024, Gemma announced she was engaged once more after Rami popped the question. The couple plans to marry later this year, and Gemma recently revealed that she intends to have multiple celebrations, with one taking place in the UK, another abroad, and a more formal one for their closest friends and family.
True to her GC persona, she also added that she’s planning to wear multiple wedding dresses for the different celebrations.
However, despite all the excitement about the upcoming nuptials, Gemma recently shared how her relationship took a toll during her IVF journey. She admitted that it left her feeling “broken,” particularly when it started to impact her bond with Rami.
During a sneak peek of her new Sky series, Four Weddings and a Baby, Gemma shared her struggles with Dermot O’Leary, saying, “My relationship was obviously taking a bit of a hit. I was trying to have a baby, and my whole world just fell apart. Because I was going through so much trauma and struggles, there was no performative person there.”
She also expressed that her new show would allow fans to see “the real me” behind the cameras, revealing the raw side of her journey.
Gemma is already a stepmother to Rami’s seven-year-old son, Tristan, and has previously talked about considering surrogacy and fostering, particularly since her own mother was fostered as a child.
Despite her challenges, Gemma has continued to share her journey with her followers, including her struggles with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and a history of miscarriages. She’s openly shared how these experiences have shaped her path, including her first miscarriage in 2012, followed by two more in 2020.
