SHOCKING! “Good Morning Britain” fans were left furious after Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper appeared on the show, with many accusing her of “waffling” and “wasting time” during an interview that failed to provide concrete answers on the soaring cost of petrol and the government’s plan to help struggling families.

The interview took place on Thursday, April 9, as Yvette was questioned by presenters Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray on the impact of the recent two-week ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran. While the ceasefire provided a glimmer of hope for global tensions, viewers quickly learned that the ripple effect on petrol prices was not so positive for the UK. With the price of petrol rising and warnings of further increases, questions turned to how the government would mitigate the strain on hard-working families.

Yvette’s response to Ranvir’s probing was met with frustration from viewers. While she spoke of measures to protect households from rising energy bills and claimed that the living wage and pensions had increased, many found her comments vague and unhelpful.

“Here we go, Yvette Cooper on GMB, a masterclass in saying plenty while somehow revealing absolutely nothing new,” one viewer fumed on social media. Another hit back with, “It’s always someone else’s fault. Waiting for her to come out with free school breakfast clubs. Just answer the f****ng question, Yvette!”
The backlash continued with viewers pointing out that her answers were repetitive and offered no immediate solutions for the real-life pressures that families were facing. “Another load of waffle starting with repeating the current situation to waste time, no plan, no idea,” one Twitter user wrote.
In response to questions about a higher tax revenue from rising fuel costs and whether that could be used to alleviate the situation, Yvette only briefly mentioned an extended fuel duty freeze without giving any specifics on how the government intended to directly address the rising cost of living.
The grilling, which many described as a “masterclass in saying nothing,” ended with Yvette talking about the government’s broader international priorities, but many viewers were left unsatisfied, questioning whether the politicians were out of touch with the everyday issues affecting the UK.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, GMB viewers also expressed their frustration with presenter Ranvir Singh’s “aggressive” interview style with Tory minister James Cleverly. The controversial discussion sparked a new wave of complaints, adding to the mounting criticism against the show.
