It’s the moment fans have been eagerly waiting for! Alyssa Farah Griffin, the outspoken conservative and former Donald Trump White House staffer, is back on The View after a two-month break on maternity leave. Returning to the Hot Topics table this Monday morning, Griffin made her triumphant comeback following the birth of her first child, baby Justin, with husband Justin Griffin.
Griffin, 36, has been open about her journey to motherhood, sharing her emotional IVF story with fans throughout her pregnancy. “More than anything, we’re thrilled to have Alyssa back,” The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg said, as Griffin reclaimed her seat at the panel.
“I’m back, I’m a human lighter, but he’s here, he’s with us, little Justin is the most magical thing,” Griffin shared, her joy palpable as she gushed about her newborn son. “My world just feels more magical and full, and I’m so grateful to him.”
Griffin, who had been absent since February, also made a special mention of the “angels in scrubs”—the nurses who helped her through the process. She showed her gratitude for the support of her colleagues, humorously remarking, “It’s way better on TV than at the table!”
It hasn’t been an easy road to motherhood for Griffin. In 2024, she candidly shared her struggles with IVF, revealing that it took multiple rounds to finally become pregnant. “It was hard,” she admitted during an emotional View segment. Yet, her perseverance has paid off, and now she’s a proud mom with a heart full of gratitude.
Before leaving for maternity leave, Griffin had become an integral part of the show, offering her conservative insights with a unique perspective. While she was away, a rotating panel of Republican voices, including former View hosts Abby Huntsman and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, temporarily filled her seat.
