Victoria Beckham has finally broken her silence regarding the ongoing feud with her son Brooklyn. For the first time since Brooklyn’s bombshell statement against the family, the Spice Girls star spoke out in a new interview, offering an emotional message.

In the interview with The Wall Street Journal, Victoria was directly asked about the rift with her son. However, when addressing the issue, she didn’t name Brooklyn but shared her unwavering stance on the situation. “I think that we’ve always—we love our children so much. We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be,” she explained. “All we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”
Victoria went on to discuss how the public attention surrounding the rift hasn’t affected her business, insisting, “I think that ultimately people are buying my product because the product is really good. I don’t think they’re buying my eyeliner just because it’s me.”
When asked if she had any remorse about putting her family under the spotlight, Victoria reflected on the personal adjustments her own parents had to make, especially when paparazzi began following them. “We’ve really taken our families on this ride with us,” she stated.
The rift began after Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to actress Nicola Peltz, with tensions building between him and his family. Brooklyn accused his mother of “dancing inappropriately” with him and “ruining” the wedding by “hijacking” a dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. There were also reports of Brooklyn being humiliated when the rabbi called him “David” twice during the ceremony.
Brooklyn also expressed that his parents were more focused on their public image, the “Brand Beckham,” and the limelight, causing him significant anxiety as a child. This, according to Brooklyn, led to strained family connections. The situation reached its lowest point when Brooklyn asked his parents not to contact him directly, insisting they go through his lawyers instead.
Despite the ongoing tension, Victoria and David Beckham are reportedly eager to repair their relationship with Brooklyn. They have even reportedly offered to meet with him and his wife, Nicola, in the presence of lawyers and therapists to rebuild their connection.
The Beckhams have faced a series of public challenges, with Brooklyn accusing them of prioritizing their image over genuine family bonds. As the situation continues to evolve, it remains to be seen whether these efforts will bring the family back together.
