The View host, Alyssa Farah Griffin, has offered fans a touching glimpse into her new life as a mother, sharing an intimate family photo that highlights her bond with husband Justin Griffin and their newborn son, Justin Jr., inside their stunning $3.5 million suburban home.
Alyssa, 36, and Justin, 37, welcomed their baby boy on February 10, just four months after Alyssa made her pregnancy announcement on The View. The big reveal was shared with viewers the next day, with her co-host Whoopi Goldberg announcing the happy news live on air.
“Let’s start by congratulating Alyssa and Justin on the birth of their beautiful baby boy,” Whoopi shared. “Weighing in at 7 pounds and 19-and-a-half inches, both mom and baby are doing great!”
Alyssa has since opened up about her new role as a mom, sharing a heartwarming series of photos on Instagram, including intimate moments from her hospital stay. The slideshow, simply captioned “Full heart,” features a candid shot of Alyssa and Justin gazing lovingly at their son, Justin Jr., as he rests in his mother’s arms. The family is pictured in their spacious living room in Westchester County, where the couple moved in September 2024.
The new mom also made sure to include photos of her beloved dogs, who are sure to keep her outnumbered with their two male companions. Alyssa had joked during her pregnancy that with her husband and two male dogs, she’d be the only woman in the house — but she couldn’t be more thrilled about starting her family.
For Alyssa, motherhood came after a long and emotional journey. The host had undergone five rounds of IVF before conceiving and was initially hesitant to share her news, fearing the reaction from online critics. But after hitting her 20-week mark, Alyssa felt comfortable enough to celebrate and share her joy with her fans.
“I’ve always wanted a boy,” Alyssa confessed. “Growing up with sisters, I always imagined having a big brother looking after younger siblings. And now we have a full house of boys to spoil!”
Justin echoed his excitement, saying, “I had such a close-knit family growing up, and I want the same for our son — lots of memories, love, and support.”
The Griffins’ new home is the perfect backdrop for their growing family. The 4,000-square-foot property in the heart of Westchester features four spacious bedrooms, a chef’s kitchen, and a wine room, offering plenty of room for the couple’s expanding brood. The home blends classic charm with modern sophistication, making it the ideal setting for raising their son.
But moving to the suburbs hasn’t been without its challenges. Alyssa revealed that she had just interviewed President Joe Biden the same day they moved in, sharing the hectic experience on The View podcast. “I’m officially in the burbs! It’s been a crazy few days, but I’m so happy,” she said.
With their suburban home now fully settled, Alyssa and Justin are looking forward to building a family in the space they’ve always dreamed of. “This is just the beginning,” Alyssa said with a smile. “We’re excited for what’s to come.”
