Dermot O’Leary was left red-faced and shouting “stop!” as his This Morning co-host Alison Hammond couldn’t stop gushing over a throwback snap of him from the noughties. The image, which showed Dermot posing with none other than Madonna in 2005, had Alison in a flurry of excitement as she called him “hot” – leaving Dermot visibly uncomfortable live on air! 😱
The segment was part of a celebration of all things Madonna, who’s releasing a new album. Dermot and Alison, both 52 and 51 respectively, were seen dancing around the studio before settling in to present the show. But the real surprise came when a nostalgic picture of Dermot from his 2005 interview with the Queen of Pop herself was shown.
Alison couldn’t hide her admiration, exclaiming, “Hold on a minute, that looks like Justin Timberlake. Is that you? You look HOT!” and immediately added, “Can we just go back to Dermot’s picture? I seriously can’t get over how hot you are!” 😍
Dermot, clearly embarrassed, tried to brush it off, but Alison insisted on recreating the moment with him. They posed side by side, mimicking the shot from 20 years ago. The fun continued throughout the show, with Alison making playful comments about how handsome Dermot was back in the day. “Look at you. I know you’re hot now, but that! That was like, who were you?” she teased.
But Dermot had had enough by the time the image reappeared for the third time. “Stop!” he shouted, clearly overwhelmed by the attention. But Alison wasn’t done, insisting once more: “Let’s have a look at the picture. You look HOT!” 🔥
The banter didn’t stop there. Dermot’s co-stars, including Jeff Brazier, continued to praise his youthful looks, with Dermot jokingly crossing his arms in mock indignation: “What do you mean he ‘was’ so handsome?”
This playful exchange wasn’t the only memorable moment from This Morning. Earlier in the week, co-host Ben Shephard had his own awkward moment when he made an X-rated slip-up during a fashion segment—leading to much laughter and cringeworthy moments for the crew. And if that wasn’t enough, viewers were left baffled when the team played a game of Twister live on air, resulting in some seriously chaotic moments.
