I’m A Celebrity fans have erupted in anger after Ashley Roberts was unexpectedly eliminated, leaving many to question the fairness of her exit. The Pussycat Dolls star was voted out after losing the Keys to Success challenge, a trial that saw the campmates battle it out in a sudden death competition. Despite her strong performance throughout the competition, viewers believe she was unfairly sent home.

Ashley had to guess the correct order of a set of keys, and while Mo Farah completed the task in a mere 36 seconds, Ashley struggled, spending 11 minutes on the puzzle. Her failure to complete the challenge led to her departure, but many fans were quick to point out that the show’s elimination process felt unjust, especially after the previous trial in which Jimmy Bullard’s actions had a direct impact on Ashley’s chances.

Some viewers believe that Ashley’s early exit may have been the result of Jimmy Bullard sabotaging the previous challenge. In the Rancid Run trial, Jimmy had made the decision to yell “I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!” midway through the task. This move caused a rift between the two, with Adam Thomas launching into a furious rant, accusing Jimmy of ruining his chance at victory. Although Adam was later saved by his campmates, the fall-out sparked a wave of anger from viewers, many of whom placed the blame on Jimmy for Ashley’s untimely exit.
Fans flocked to social media to express their dismay at the decision, with many declaring Ashley as the true winner of the series.
- “Ashley deserved to win!! Scarlett should be the winner (again) in my eyes,” one fan wrote.
- “So Ash is gone because of Jimmy.”
- “Gutted Ashley went! I blame Jimmy! She probably would’ve survived yesterday’s trial.”
- “Ashley was brilliant. She threw herself into all the trials, won a load of stars, and just had great energy in camp! It won’t be the same without her.”
Reflecting on her departure, Scarlett Moffatt, who had become close to Ashley in the camp, expressed how much she would miss her:
“I know it’s not long but I’m gutted for her because I think she’s done so amazing in every trial, every challenge. She got stuck into camp life. It’s not going to be the same without her.”
Ashley Roberts, who lasted 12 days in camp, admitted that while she was disappointed to leave so close to the final four, she was proud of her journey:
“As much as I’m bummed to be going out, making it so close to the final four, I feel like I’ve done myself proud. I got my hands dirty, faced some fears, met some amazing new people, and walked away with memories for life.”
In an emotional moment, Ashley also reflected on her personal growth throughout the experience, saying:
“It’s been fourteen years. I’ve been through a lot of different life experiences since, some good, some bad. So, I walked in with a different head on my shoulders, really wanting to prove to myself that I could do it. The camp was cool. I loved that waterfall. That was so magical.”
Meanwhile, Sinitta, another contestant who faced elimination in the same episode, also had a difficult time in the jungle. During her trial, Sinitta struggled with a task that involved being shackled to her partner, Craig Charles, and having to work together to solve codes and unlock lockers. However, after a few moments of frustration, Sinitta made the decision to quit the task. As a result, the campmates voted for her to leave.
Sinitta, who had previously appeared on I’m A Celebrity in 2011 and was eliminated early, reflected on her exit in an emotional interview:
“I got what I came here for, which was courage. This sense of being able to do whatever I believe. I feel rejuvenated. It was magical and so much fun. I laughed every day. I faced my fears. I understand now, after being terrified of everything most of my life, the way to overcome your fears is to face them.”
The 80s pop icon added, “I feel like this fearless, robust person now, rather than a fragile person. It’s been like therapy. The second time in the jungle is a memory I will cherish forever. The first time, let’s just pretend that didn’t happen.”
As both Ashley and Sinitta exited the camp, fans were left wondering who would make it to the final five. The remaining contestants, including Scarlett Moffatt, Craig Charles, Harry Redknapp, Sir Mo Farah, and Adam Thomas, will now compete for the title in the grand final. The decision will ultimately be left to the viewers, who will have the chance to vote for their winner during Friday’s live broadcast.
The grand final will be filmed live in the UK on Friday, where viewers can tune in to see which of the final five contestants will be crowned the winner of this year’s I’m A Celebrity.
