Beverley Callard, star of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, has shared some unexpected and heartwarming news with fans as she continues her courageous battle with breast cancer. The 69-year-old TV icon, known for her candid updates, took to Instagram to reveal the “great news” she’s received following her latest round of tests.
In an emotional video shared with her followers, Beverley confirmed that the test results showed “low numbers” for one of the lymph nodes previously feared to be aggressive. She was visibly relieved as she announced that this means she is now ready to begin radiotherapy – a huge step forward in her recovery.
“One of the lymph nodes they tested is on low numbers, which is really good. That means I can begin radiotherapy very soon!” she said, raising a glass of champagne with her husband, Jon, in celebration. “I’m popping champagne! Wahey!”
Beverley’s heartfelt announcement was met with an outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities. “What a journey!” Jon said in the background, echoing his wife’s relief and triumph. Beverley’s caption further summed up the moment: “Well… the results are in and we are popping the champagne! I can’t begin to explain the relief… now on to the next steps. What a journey it’s been so far… sending love and thanks to everyone.”
This health update comes after Beverley was forced to leave I’m A Celebrity earlier this year on medical grounds. A “funny turn” on the show led to her breast cancer diagnosis just months later, but this milestone in her treatment offers hope for a bright future.
Fans have flooded the post with supportive comments, with TV presenter Seann Walsh exclaiming, “Oh my God, I’m so happy Bev!” and actress Denise Welch writing, “So proud of you Beverley.”
As Beverley gears up for the next step in her fight, she continues to inspire with her bravery, optimism, and gratitude. 🙏💪
