Peter Andre has revealed that his more relaxed parenting style has left his son Junior “fuming” and his wife Emily “annoyed” in recent years.

The Mysterious Girl hitmaker, 53, has children from both his marriages—20-year-old Junior and 18-year-old Princess with ex-wife Katie Price, and Millie, 12, Theo, nine, and Arabella, two, with current wife, NHS doctor Emily MacDonagh, 36.

During an appearance on Loose Women on May 4, Peter discussed how his upbringing shaped his parenting approach, admitting that he’s become a lot more lenient with his younger kids. This revelation came during a chat with panellists Kaye Adams, Katie Piper, Myleene Klass, and Jane Moore.
Jane asked, “Your mum and dad were quite strict when you were growing up, and you were quite strict with Princess and Junior. Now you’re down to the two-year-olds, have you sort of given up?”
Peter replied: “Junior’s fuming because he’s…,” pausing with a laugh.

He explained that his upbringing was much stricter, as his parents followed both Greek traditions and the strict rules of Jehovah’s Witnesses. “All of the things my Dad said to me, I said to my kids,” Peter recalled. “But when they were about 10, I was like, ‘I don’t agree with half of this stuff.'”
Myleene Klass then chimed in, saying, “I get that as well. I get that all the time—’You were really tough on me, and they get away with murder.'”
Peter admitted, “I’m so chilled. It’s actually quite annoying for Emily. She says, ‘Can you back me up?’ and I’m like, ‘It’s just kids.'”
Although he’s lenient with the younger ones, Peter is still firm on manners. “I’m strict on manners. If someone asks, ‘How was your day or how was school?’, you don’t just say, ‘Good.’ You say, ‘Good thank you, how was yours?’”
Peter’s daughter, Princess, recently won the UK Top Influencer Award, and during the ceremony, she shared that neither of her parents had watched her ITV2 reality show. This revelation came after a fallout with her mother, Katie, who had expressed frustrations about being excluded from Princess’s work-related events.
Peter and Katie were married for four years before splitting up in May 2009, with their divorce finalized later that year. Since their separation, both have been focused on their respective careers and co-parenting their children.
Katie, in a passionate podcast outburst, vented her anger at not being involved in her daughter’s reality show. She claimed that Peter and his management team were behind her exclusion. “It hurts when I’m not included in things like photo shoots or signings,” she said. “I should be there supporting her, like my family supported me.”
The drama continues to unfold, with Princess’s reality show being renewed for two more seasons. Peter and Emily were noticeably absent from the second season, which has only intensified the tension.
