Chloe Madeley, the 38-year-old influencer, has responded to the sharp comments made by her ex-husband James Haskell’s mother, Susie, regarding their separation. The former couple, who tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their daughter in 2022, called it quits in 2023 after five years of marriage. And now, tensions seem to be simmering again as Chloe reacts to Susie’s bold take on the split. 
In an Instagram post shared earlier this week, Chloe sent a pointed message that seemed aimed at Susie. The cryptic message read: “Does anyone else feel like there are just some people in life who you have to follow around with a dustpan and brush so you can sweep up all the cp they keep dropping on the floor? Or is that just me? Honestly, if you’re reading this and you can’t relate you’re probably a cp dropper.”
This comes hot on the heels of comments made by Susie during her appearance on Celebs Go Dating. Speaking about James’s past relationships, Susie didn’t mince words, suggesting the reason for his failed marriage could be traced to “competing for floor space” with his wife. She added, “Before he married Chloe, I met lots of lovely girlfriends. Each of them just loved me, which is a bonus. You can’t have two stars because you have them competing for the floor space the whole time.” 
James, ever the diplomat, previously revealed that Chloe encouraged him to appear on the show, calling her “a good friend and my co-parent.” 
While Chloe might be taking the high road with her cryptic message, it’s clear that the aftermath of their divorce is still very much alive. James has since had a brief romance with Big Brother star Sara McLean, but that too came to an abrupt end just two days after they went public.
