Jeremy Clarkson has revealed a sobering health update after being rushed to hospital — and fans are getting a first glimpse of his struggles in the forthcoming fifth series of Clarkson’s Farm.

Amazon Prime has officially confirmed the new series will premiere on June 3, with episodes one to four dropping immediately. Episodes five and six follow on June 10, with the final pair airing on June 17.

The first trailer, released Monday, shows the 66-year-old former Top Gear host confronting his own mortality after doctors warned him to take a break. Clarkson had previously claimed he was “days from death” after experiencing excruciating chest pains at his Cotswolds home in 2024. He was rushed by ambulance to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where medics discovered one of his arteries was “completely blocked.” A stent was later inserted to restore blood flow.

Speaking to his farmhand Kaleb Cooper in the trailer, Clarkson admits: “You’ve got three arteries in your heart to keep it pumping, my heart was not getting any blood.” Despite the medical warning, Clarkson presses on — taking on a new driverless tractor, a mischievous flock of sheep, and even dealing with travellers causing disruption at his favourite pub.

Kaleb, intrigued by the high-tech machinery, remarks: “That’s basically taking my job.” But moments later, the state-of-the-art tractor spectacularly breaks down mid-field. “That went well,” Clarkson quips, left to ponder the malfunctioning machine.

The pair also wrestle with a new flock of “Easy Care” sheep, prompting Kaleb’s dry remark: “No sheep is easy to care for.” Their chaotic efforts underline the humor and tension fans have come to love.
In a dramatic personal moment, Kaleb learns his wife-to-be Kaya is in labour, yet decides to finish his fieldwork before heading to the hospital — leaving Clarkson stunned. “S***, you’ve gotta go!” he urges over the walkie-talkie. “No, not yet, I’ll finish this field quickly,” Kaleb replies, prompting a wide-eyed Clarkson to ask the camera: “You did hear that?”
Away from the farm, Clarkson contends with The Farmer’s Dog pub’s spate of issues, including disruptions caused by travellers.
An official press release teases: “Series five opens with Jeremy stricken by a major health scare, leaving him under strict doctors’ orders to take it easy. But rest isn’t an option. New Easy Care sheep arrive to lighten the load, while ongoing pub troubles, the first festive season to navigate, and a government budget rattling the UK farming community ensure slowing down is impossible.”
Viewers will also follow Clarkson and Kaleb on a hi-tech journey abroad — a trip to the Netherlands where cutting-edge farming inspires the rise of robot tractors and futuristic techniques back at Diddly Squat Farm. The climactic episodes promise chaos, bad luck, and high tension across fields and family alike.
Clarkson’s Farm, which first premiered on Amazon Prime in 2021, has become a massive hit, with four successful series behind it. Series five was announced in December 2024, filmed through 2025, and wrapped in February 2026. The show is executively produced by Andy Wilman, Zoe Brewer, and Peter Fincham, with Peter Richardson as producer and Nick Dalton as editor. Senior producers include Conor Tighe and Vicky Hoy, alongside executive producer Alice Gordon-Lyons.
Fans don’t have long to wait — the much-loved series returns June 3, promising more laughter, chaos, and Clarkson-style farming drama.
