Jess Impiazzi has delighted fans by sharing a series of heartwarming first pictures of her and partner Sam Bird’s miracle baby, Freddie, on Instagram. The couple announced the joyful news last week after years of IVF treatment while Jess battled chronic illness lupus.
The 37-year-old Ex On The Beach star and Formula E driver Sam, 39, radiated happiness as they posed for their first photo as a family of three in the hospital. Jess shared sweet snapshots of baby Freddie peacefully sleeping, calling themselves the ‘luckiest mummy and daddy in the world.’
One image showed Sam cradling Freddie while feeding him a bottle in a coffee shop, followed by a stroll outdoors. Jess wrote: “One week of having you in our arms, we are the luckiest mummy and daddy in the world for getting to call you ours!” She added, “We didn’t know love like this could exist, and if we could bottle this feeling we would be billionaires. Happy one week old baby Freddie.”
Jess also posted a black-and-white snap of Sam carrying Freddie safely in his car seat leaving the hospital, captioned simply: “You’re mine.”
Sam previously announced the birth via Instagram: “Myself and @jess_impiazzi are beyond proud to share that at 2:35 pm on Tuesday afternoon we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Freddie Charlie James Bird into the world. We are so in love with him already and can’t wait to share more pictures soon.”
Jess’s journey to motherhood was not without struggle. Diagnosed with lupus in 2023, she feared early menopause would impact her fertility. She revealed a low ovarian reserve and the emotional toll of IVF treatment, saying, “I have always wanted to have a family, so to be told the chances of having my own children are slim is heartbreaking.”
Sharing her IVF experience, Jess explained the challenges of egg collection, low AMH levels, and the emotional and physical drain. She encouraged others on similar journeys, stating, “You are warriors!”
Despite past relationships, including dating Jermaine Pennant until 2023, Jess found love and hope with Sam, culminating in the arrival of Freddie, a symbol of perseverance, love, and family dreams realized.
