Scarlett Moffatt has opened up about the deeply emotional moment she discovered she was pregnant with her second child — revealing she took “11 pregnancy tests” before she could truly believe the happy news.

The former I’m A Celebrity winner, 35, admitted that after a painful private loss and years of fertility struggles, she feared she might never be able to have another baby.
Now, Scarlett and her fiancé Scott Dobinson, who are already proud parents to their son Jude, are preparing to welcome another baby boy into their family.

Speaking to The Sun, Scarlett said the news felt almost impossible to take in at first.
“It felt so overwhelming,” she said. “We are honestly so thrilled, especially for Jude, as I never thought that we would be able to give him a little brother or sister. I’m just so over the moon that we get to.”

Her joyful update comes after Scarlett previously spoke candidly about her difficult road to motherhood during her time on I’m A Celebrity. While in camp, she opened up to former pop star Sinitta about her fertility struggles and the heartbreak she and Scott experienced after losing a pregnancy when she was “quite far along.”
Scarlett recalled the devastating moment, explaining that after welcoming Jude, the couple had tried again and had already begun imagining their future as a bigger family.
She said: “After Jude, we tried again and got quite far along and miscarried and it was just… I remember Scott’s mam and dad took Jude for the day and me and Scott just laid in bed crying and it was just awful.”
She added that the pain was made even more intense because they had already pictured what life would look like with another child.
“In our head, we were just like, ‘Imagine them running down the stairs at Christmas together.’ You’re mourning a life that you imagined,” she said.
Scarlett also shared that when her emotional conversation aired on television, she and Scott could barely watch it properly.
“Me and Scott didn’t even look at each other while it was on. We just held hands on the sofa and gripped each other. It was so lovely,” she said.
Her story reflects a silent heartbreak experienced by many families. In the UK, around one in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage, and many women go on to face intense anxiety in later pregnancies.
But after years of uncertainty, Scarlett is now embracing a new chapter filled with hope, gratitude and excitement.
The TV personality welcomed her son Jude in June 2023 after a challenging four-year fertility journey. After his birth, she took almost two years away from work to focus on motherhood.
This time, however, family life is set to look a little different.
Scarlett revealed that her partner Scott has decided to take a career break from his job as a police officer so he can be more present at home. His decision follows a growing trend in the UK, with Office for National Statistics data showing that the number of stay-at-home dads has risen by 30 per cent over the past decade.
Scarlett also admitted she had secretly hoped for another boy, saying she feels she was “born to be a boy mum.”
Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “All my family and friends knew I wanted another boy.”
She continued: “Of course it would’ve been wonderful to have had a girl — a healthy baby is all that matters — but my preference was a boy, to give Jude a brother.”
The former Gogglebox star said she is especially happy for Jude, knowing he will now have a sibling to grow up with.
“I’m just so happy for him. He’s got someone to share his life with now,” she said.
Scarlett first shared her pregnancy joy with fans in April, posting a heartwarming family photo to her Instagram Stories.
In the picture, Scarlett stood alongside Scott and Jude while wearing a stylish patterned co-ord and gently cradling her growing baby bump.
Alongside the image, she asked followers to vote on whether they thought she was expecting a boy or a girl, based on her bump position and pregnancy cravings.
She wrote: “My bump is very high this time and I started showing early from around 14 weeks. My cravings have been grated cheese, cheese toasties, cheese scones lol (did I mention cheese ha).”
Scarlett also thanked fans for their kind messages about how well she was looking, but admitted that the early months of pregnancy had been far from easy.
Sharing a selfie from bed, where she looked visibly worn out, the TV star joked that her first trimester had been “HELL.”
She wrote: “Also for those lovely ones saying I’m glowing, let me tell you the first trimester was HELL lol.”
Scarlett explained that she had been dealing with several common pregnancy symptoms while still trying to keep up with work.
“I was driving to jobs and having mini sicks then filming, getting hot and cold flushes and migraines. So I’m now accepting compliments lol thank you,” she added.
The reality star later confirmed the pregnancy publicly with a touching Instagram video featuring Scott and Jude.
In the clip, Scarlett excitedly held up an ultrasound scan as the family celebrated their growing household.
In the caption, she told fans: “We honestly can’t believe we’re writing this… After everything, we feel unbelievably lucky to be able to say… our family is growing.”
She continued: “One little miracle gave us Jude, and now he’s going to be a big brother. And if there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that he is going to be the most amazing big brother.”
Scarlett ended her message with words full of gratitude, emotion and disbelief.
“We are so grateful, so excited, and still a little bit in shock… Our hearts are fuller than we ever thought possible,” she wrote.
For Scarlett and Scott, the news marks more than just another pregnancy announcement. It is the beginning of a new family chapter after years of fear, hope and heartbreak.
And after taking 11 pregnancy tests before finally allowing herself to believe it was real, Scarlett’s baby joy feels even more powerful — a reminder that some of the happiest moments arrive after the hardest journeys.
