Christine McGuinness, 38, has opened up about her feelings towards ex-husband Paddy McGuinness, 52, after he was seen looking cosy with All Saints singer Nicole Appleton during their marriage. The TV personality, who split from the funnyman in 2022 after 13 years together, shares twins Leo and Penelope, 12, and nine-year-old Felicity with him, all of whom are autistic.

Despite links to boxer Nicola Adams and Dk Roxxxan, Christine insists she is uninterested in Paddy’s romantic life. In a candid interview, she told The Sun: “I’m not sure what his dating life is like, and I don’t really care. I’ve got enough going on in my own life! If I was going to be heartbroken about it, then I wouldn’t have divorced him.”

Christine explained that she had already seen Paddy in the press with other women during their marriage, which softened the impact of seeing him now. She added: “I’m not being disrespectful, it’s a heartbreaking situation, of course. But I’d already seen him all over the press with other women when I was married to him, so it’s not going to hurt me seeing it now.”

The couple’s marriage faced its first rough patch in 2018 when Paddy was photographed on a boozy night out with Nicole, revealing that they had been exchanging tweets since the previous autumn. Christine described feeling “physically sick” and “absolutely devastated” by the photos in her autobiography, A Beautiful Nightmare. She later decided to reconcile temporarily to ensure their children had a father present at home.

Christine also discussed her own love life since the split, admitting it has been a whirlwind: “Someone might have caught my eye. I’m single. It’s exciting. I’m enjoying life. The past couple of weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind. I’m struggling to keep up with my own life. I just want to see how it goes. I want to do what feels natural to me. I haven’t got anything planned. I’m happy and I’m excited.”
She has embraced dating, sharing on the LGBTQ+ podcast It Started With A Kiss that she identifies as a ‘five-star lesbian’ and is looking for a wife. Christine told the Daily Mail that opening up about her sexuality has been empowering: “It feels like it’s the right time. Saying it once wasn’t enough to feel comfortable being myself, but now it helps me feel more at ease and inspired to date women.”
