Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews has sparked outrage online after calling for Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid to be sacked following her on-air reaction to him.
The drama unfolded more than a month after Lee was scheduled to appear on GMB alongside Katie, before his sudden arrest in Dubai. On Thursday, the businessman took to Instagram to respond to Susanna’s comments, saying:
“What is Susanna Reid rolling her eyes at? I’m not gonna comment yet because I’ll get onto the sofa with Katie at some point and we’ll thrash it out. She can be as forthcoming as she likes.”
Lee also claimed that Susanna had “no solid evidence” and accused her of prejudging him unfairly, adding that she “should lose her job” for labeling him a conman without proof.
The spat follows GMB’s entertainment segment, where Susanna warned Katie that Lee might not be entirely truthful. The ITV host, arms folded and unimpressed, said bluntly on air: “I think my eyes just rolled out of my head.”
Katie had appeared solo on the show after Lee, who had recently been jailed in Dubai’s notorious Al Awir prison, failed to make the UK appearance. Despite the absence, Katie handled the interview with her usual composure, confirming plans to bring Lee to England permanently so she wouldn’t have to fly to Dubai repeatedly.
During the heated exchange, Susanna cautioned: “I love how open you are, Katie, but I just wonder if he’s telling you everything.” Katie replied: “I know no one believes me, your face says it all. He’s moving here so I don’t have to keep flying to Dubai. He pays for it anyway.”
Lee’s Instagram post comes after his seven-week imprisonment in Dubai, which he claims involved being detained at gunpoint and held in a state security building. He insists the arrest was over a civil dispute, not fraud or espionage, though authorities confirmed he was held on suspicion of financial wrongdoing.
Fans have reacted strongly to Lee’s post, with many criticizing him for attacking a trusted broadcaster, while others sided with the couple in defending his ordeal.
