Tess Daly has been spotted continuing to wear her wedding ring during a recent shoot for her Naia Beach brand – even as it’s revealed she and ex-husband Vernon Kay are planning a “quickie divorce.”
The couple, who announced their split last month after 22 years of marriage, say they want the process to be swift and amicable. Insiders tell us: “Tess doesn’t want to spend thousands on solicitors. A friend suggested a quick online divorce. There’s nothing to fight over, and they know they’ll agree on everything fairly.”
Despite parting ways, Tess and Vernon remain on friendly terms. They were recently spotted together at Pub In The Park, and Vernon’s Instagram bio still reads: “Other ½ of @tessdaly.”
“They only want the best for each other and their family,” a source added. “There’s been no dramatic fallout, just a gradual growing apart and wanting different things.”
The couple continue to live in the same Buckinghamshire home with their two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16. Thanks to their savvy investments and high-profile BBC salaries – Vernon earns around £395,000 on Radio 2, and Tess pulled in £400,000 co-hosting Strictly Come Dancing – sources say the divorce will be financially straightforward.
“Compared to most celebrity splits, this is remarkably simple,” a source explained. “Both are well-off individually and have handled their finances cleverly, so neither will take a hit.”
