Among the sea of glamorous stars arriving at the All England Club, it was Tess Daly who quietly became one of the day’s biggest talking points after fans noticed one meaningful detail: she was still wearing both her wedding and engagement rings, just weeks after announcing her split from husband Vernon Kay.
A Graceful Return to the Spotlight
The 57-year-old television presenter looked effortlessly elegant as she arrived at Wimbledon in a stunning lace dress alongside her close friend and business partner Gayle Lawton.
While Tess smiled warmly for photographers and appeared relaxed throughout the day, many couldn’t help but notice that the rings she has worn throughout her 23-year marriage remained firmly on her left hand.
The appearance comes only weeks after Tess and Vernon confirmed they had decided to end one of British television’s longest-standing celebrity marriages.

An Amicable Goodbye After More Than Two Decades
Last month, the couple released a joint statement announcing that they had mutually chosen to separate after more than 23 years together.
They explained that the decision had been made with “care and respect” and stressed there were no third parties involved.
The statement read in part:
“After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably.
“We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents.”
The pair also asked for privacy and confirmed they would not be making further public comments.
Although they are no longer together as a couple, reports suggest both have continued living at their family home in Buckinghamshire while focusing on daughters Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16.
The Rings Leave Fans Wondering
Tess has not publicly commented on why she continues to wear her wedding jewellery.
For many people, choosing when—or whether—to remove a wedding ring after a separation is deeply personal. Some continue wearing it while adjusting to a major life change, while others do so for family reasons or simply because they aren’t ready to make that symbolic step.
