Lisa Faulkner has been flooded with love and support from some of Britain’s biggest stars after bravely revealing she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The beloved TV presenter, actress and chef shared the emotional news with fans on Instagram, explaining that she recently underwent major surgery after doctors discovered the disease during a routine mammogram.

Thankfully, Lisa also brought reassuring news.

The 54-year-old revealed that surgeons successfully removed the cancer and that her results came back clear. She will now undergo a course of radiotherapy as the final stage of her treatment.

“I’ve had surgery for the early stages of breast cancer,” Lisa told her followers. “It was quite a big operation, but it’s all good. I’ve got my results back and they’ve got everything out.”

She added that she is healing well and feeling much stronger, saying she has “a bit of healing to do” but is incredibly grateful for the outcome.

Rather than keeping her diagnosis private, Lisa said she wanted to speak openly in the hope that it would encourage other women not to delay their breast screenings.

“I just wanted to say don’t put them off,” she urged. “Go for your mammogram because they found this, and without that mammogram it wouldn’t have been picked up.”
