CASSIE’S “NEW MAN” IS HIDING A HUGE SOAP TWIST 😱🍷 AND CORRIE FANS MAY RECOGNISE HIM FROM EASTENDERS!!!

Coronation Street tonight (Wednesday, July 8), saw mystery man Ross interact with Cassie at the hotel, but actor Ian Burfield has been in Soapland before.

In Weatherfield this evening, Cassie took to the 2-for-1 offer at the Chariot Square bar as she struggled to deal with Steve’s recent rejection of her marriage proposal.

She then started flirting with a stranger who she soon realises is actually Tyrone’s biological father.

Cassie flirts with ‘new man’ Ross in Coronation Street

Cassie proposed to Steve this week, only to be rejected by him. He said that he loved her and didn’t feel the need to get married to prove that.

Of course, Cassie was devastated and was even more upset when she was confronted by a smug Tracy who had overheard the whole embarrassing moment play out.

Believing that her relationship with Steve was now over, Cassie then took to the bar at the Chariot Square Hotel tonight and quickly drowned her sorrows.

A stranger then caught her eye as she started to flirt with him, totally getting the wrong idea. The man ended up rejecting her, with Cassie then staring down at a piece of paper with his name on after he’d gone.

Reading that his name is Ross, Cassie will soon connect the dots. She’ll realise that Ross is actually son Tyrone’s biological father. We’re not sure how she didn’t know this before, but there we are.

Coronation Street spoilers see Tyrone come face to face with dad Ross

It turns out that Ross was brought to the Street thanks to Hope and Ruby secretly doing a DNA test and tracking down Tyrone’s dad as a surprise.

Upcoming spoilers see Cassie head back to Weatherfield hoping to keep things calm as Steve looks forward to a fresh start. That plan doesn’t last long when Hope and Ruby reveal they’ve tracked down Tyrone’s biological dad through DNA, and Ross soon makes an unexpected appearance.

Despite Cassie trying to put Ross off, Tyrone is intrigued and agrees to get to know his father. But their first golf day ends in disaster when Tyrone puts his back out.

Elsewhere, Bernie realises Cassie’s hiding something. And, after admitting she’s being blackmailed, Cassie is urged to stop running from the truth.

Things get even messier when Ross grows close to Tracy, leaving Cassie horrified. Her warnings fall on deaf ears, while Tyrone and Hope also tell Ross to be careful, but he’s determined to make his own choices.

As secrets pile up, Tyrone becomes suspicious of Cassie and Steve, leading to a shocking discovery. With nowhere left to hide, Cassie finally decides it’s time to come clean to Steve.
