Traitors Winner Stephen Libby Reportedly in Talks for Strictly Come Dancing After Stunning Career Change

Fresh from becoming one of the biggest breakout stars of The Traitors UK, Stephen Libby could be preparing for his next major television challenge.
According to new reports, the 32-year-old reality TV favourite is in discussions about joining the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, following a whirlwind year that has transformed him from a cyber security consultant into one of the BBC’s fastest-rising personalities.
From Master Strategist to Dancefloor Contender?
Stephen captured viewers’ hearts during The Traitors UK Series 4, where his calm strategy, unforgettable poker face and signature vintage style helped him become one of the show’s standout contestants.
Alongside fellow contestant Rachel Duffy, he made history by becoming part of the first Traitor duo to successfully win the UK version of the competition, with the pair splitting the £95,750 prize and taking home £47,875 each.
Since then, Stephen has embraced life in television, leaving his career in cyber security to focus on new opportunities in entertainment.
Now, reports suggest another huge BBC show could be next.

According to The Sun, members of the Strictly casting team have already met with Stephen and believe he would be a natural fit for the ballroom competition.
A source claimed:

“The Strictly casting team have met with Stephen and think he could be a great fit.”

The insider added that Stephen’s popularity since leaving Ardross Castle has made him an attractive choice for producers.

“Stephen was hugely popular on The Traitors and has built a massive fan base. The BBC are always keen to make the most of their talent, and Stephen fits perfectly.”

While no final decision has reportedly been made, insiders claim that if he doesn’t join this year’s lineup, he could become a priority target for the 2027 series should his popularity continue to grow.
Neither the BBC nor Stephen’s representatives have officially commented on the speculation.
A Television Career Taking Off
Stephen’s career has accelerated rapidly since lifting the Traitors trophy.
He has already secured regular appearances on ITV’s This Morning, including reporting from Los Angeles during Oscars season and covering Elton John’s famous Academy Awards viewing party.
Represented by United Agents, Stephen has also become a sought-after public speaker, giving talks on strategy, trust, decision-making and human behaviour—topics inspired by his unforgettable success on The Traitors.
Strictly’s New Era Begins
This year’s Strictly Come Dancing will introduce a refreshed presenting team, with Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe stepping into hosting duties.
Meanwhile, returning judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood will once again score the celebrity contestants.
Several stars have already been confirmed for the new series, including social media personality Cach Mercer, TV favourite Dani Dyer, actress Lacey Turner, singer Delta Goodrem, and celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton.
If Stephen Libby does join the lineup, he would become one of the most talked-about contestants of the season, bringing the same sharp thinking, charisma and competitive spirit that made him one of The Traitors UK’s biggest success stories. Until an official announcement is made, however, fans will have to wait and see whether the rumours become reality.
