Cat Deeley sparks romance buzz with movie executive on intimate Hyde Park night out — one year after shock Patrick Kielty marriage split

Cat Deeley has sparked fresh speculation about her love life after being spotted enjoying a warm and affectionate night out with a senior movie executive — almost exactly one year after the breakdown of her 13-year marriage to Patrick Kielty.

The This Morning presenter, 49, appeared relaxed and in high spirits as she attended Lewis Capaldi’s huge BST Hyde Park concert in London alongside Charlie Coleman, a film industry executive who holds a senior role at Amazon MGM Studios.

And according to those who saw them together, this looked like far more than two people simply standing side by side at a concert.

The pair were reportedly seen laughing, whispering to one another, dancing to the music and sharing several affectionate moments throughout the evening — with their noticeably tactile body language quickly attracting attention.

For Cat, who has largely kept her private life away from the spotlight since announcing her separation from Patrick last summer, the outing marks one of the most intriguing glimpses yet of her life after marriage.

A very cosy night at Hyde Park

Dressed for the summer evening in a chic black strappy jumpsuit, oversized sunglasses and carrying a vintage Chanel handbag reportedly worth around £5,000, Cat joined thousands of music fans at Hyde Park to watch Scottish superstar Lewis Capaldi perform.

But it was her chemistry with Charlie that appeared to catch the eye of onlookers.

According to one witness, the pair seemed completely at ease in each other’s company, laughing together and becoming animated as they chatted.

“The pair were all smiles, laughing and animatedly chatting,” the onlooker claimed.

At one point, Charlie was reportedly seen placing a hand affectionately on Cat’s bare back, while Cat was also said to have touched his shoulder as they enjoyed drinks together.

The pair were also reportedly seen whispering into each other’s ears — perhaps necessary amid the noise of the huge outdoor concert — and moving along to the music together.

“They seemed very relaxed with each other and shared several jokes,” the witness added.

“They didn’t seem to care who could see them.”

While neither Cat nor Charlie has publicly confirmed the nature of their relationship, their affectionate appearance together is likely to fuel plenty of curiosity about whether Cat may be entering a new chapter in her personal life.

Who is Charlie Coleman?

Charlie is no stranger to the entertainment world himself — although unlike Cat, his career has largely unfolded behind the cameras.

He is a senior film industry executive who joined Amazon MGM Studios after previously holding a major marketing position at Warner Bros.

Before that, his career reportedly included time working in Los Angeles for Disney, giving him extensive experience at some of the biggest names in global entertainment.

His move from Warner Bros. to Amazon MGM attracted industry attention, marking another significant step in a high-profile career within Hollywood’s studio system.

That shared connection to the entertainment industry means Cat and Charlie are certainly moving in overlapping professional circles.

But their cosy Hyde Park appearance comes at a particularly significant moment in Cat’s life.

One year after the end of a 13-year marriage

Cat has been publicly single since she and Patrick Kielty announced their separation in July 2025.

The news came as a shock to many fans.

The couple had been married for 13 years and share two sons, now aged ten and eight.

Cat and Patrick married in an intimate ceremony in Rome in 2012, building a life together that eventually took them between Britain and the United States.

When they confirmed their separation, they made it clear that their children would remain their priority.

“We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated,” they said in a joint statement.

“There is no other party involved.

“We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected.”

It was a carefully worded statement that revealed little about what had happened behind closed doors.

But the end of their marriage nevertheless marked a dramatic personal change for both stars.

A marriage stretched between London and Ireland

Cat and Patrick had spent years balancing two demanding careers.

After living in Los Angeles, they relocated to London in 2020, with Cat later explaining that concerns about life in America — including safety — had played a role in the family’s decision to return to Britain.

But their professional lives remained intensely busy.

In 2023, Patrick became host of RTÉ’s The Late Late Show in Ireland, a prestigious role that required him to spend significant periods away from the family home.

His weekly schedule reportedly involved travelling to Dublin on Tuesdays to prepare for the programme before returning at the weekend after also fulfilling broadcasting commitments in Belfast.

Meanwhile, Cat’s own career in Britain entered a major new phase.

In 2024, she landed one of daytime television’s most prominent jobs when she joined Ben Shephard as a permanent presenter of ITV’s This Morning.

The role reportedly came with a salary of around £600,000 a year and placed Cat firmly back at the centre of British television.

Yet behind the professional success, major changes were unfolding in her personal life.

Starting over after the split

Following the separation, Cat reportedly moved out of the North London rental home she had shared with Patrick.

Patrick, meanwhile, was believed to have remained connected to the couple’s multi-million-pound five-bedroom “forever home”, which they had been renovating.

The months that followed appeared to represent a period of adjustment for Cat.

When she celebrated her 49th birthday in October — her first birthday since the marriage split — she reportedly spent the occasion surrounded by close friends.

A source said at the time that Cat had a tight-knit friendship circle who had “rallied around her”.

That support may have been particularly important after such an enormous life change.

Cat had already spoken candidly in the past about how difficult major transitions could be, including her move back to Britain after more than a decade living and working in America.

For years, she had enjoyed enormous success in the United States.

She became one of the most recognisable British television personalities in America after hosting Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance across 17 seasons between 2006 and 2024.

Her career helped build an estimated multi-million-pound fortune and established her as a rare British presenter who successfully crossed over into mainstream US television.

But eventually, family life brought her back across the Atlantic.

Patrick once joked about their marriage dynamic

Long before the couple announced their separation, Patrick had joked publicly about the balance within their relationship.

Speaking in 2023, he humorously described discovering that he might not have held quite as much power in the marriage as he once imagined.

“For a long time I genuinely thought I was in a 50/50 partnership,” he said.

“Then you realise you’re actually a junior shareholder in a 50/50 partnership.”

At the time, the comment was delivered with humour.

But after the couple’s eventual separation, previous remarks about their marriage inevitably took on renewed interest among fans.

Patrick has since continued focusing on his broadcasting career and has reportedly secured a lucrative new deal to remain at the helm of The Late Late Show.

The agreement is understood to be worth as much as £25,000 per episode.

Is Cat beginning a new chapter?

Now, attention has unexpectedly turned back to Cat.

Nearly a year after publicly confirming the end of one of British television’s most recognisable celebrity marriages, she has been pictured enjoying what appeared to be an especially close evening with another prominent figure from the entertainment industry.

There has been no public confirmation that Cat and Charlie are officially dating.

A hand on the back, shared laughter and whispered conversations at a noisy concert do not necessarily confirm a romance.

But their relaxed and tactile appearance together has inevitably raised questions.

After a year defined by separation, moving home and adjusting to a dramatically different family life, Cat appeared happy, carefree and comfortable as she enjoyed the music in Hyde Park.

Whether Charlie Coleman is simply a close friend or someone becoming more significant in her life remains to be seen.

For now, Cat appears to be embracing life after one of the biggest personal changes she has faced in years.

And judging by the smiles, laughter and affectionate moments witnessed during their Hyde Park night out, this may be one chapter fans will be watching very closely.
