Former Coronation Street favourite Charlotte Jordan has broken her silence on the possibility of returning to Weatherfield as Daisy Midgeley, one year after her dramatic departure from the ITV soap.
The actress, who became a fan favourite during her time on the cobbles, has revealed that while nobody from the show has approached her about reprising the role, she is not closing the door on Daisy’s return in the future.
Currently starring in the new BBC crime drama The Hairdresser Mysteries, Charlotte has explained that she is enjoying exploring new challenges after leaving behind one of Coronation Street’s most dramatic characters.
Charlotte Jordan’s Journey As Daisy Midgeley Comes To An End
Charlotte Jordan first arrived on Coronation Street in 2021 as Daisy Midgeley, the former stepdaughter of Rovers Return landlady Jenny Connor, played by Sally Ann Matthews.
Daisy was introduced as a confident and ambitious young woman with a complicated personality, quickly making an impact when she attempted to interfere in Jenny’s marriage to Johnny Connor.
Although Daisy initially divided viewers, she soon became one of the soap’s most talked-about characters thanks to a series of dramatic storylines that tested her emotionally and physically.
Her time in Weatherfield was filled with major challenges, including one of Coronation Street’s most intense modern storylines — her terrifying ordeal involving stalker Justin Rutherford.

Daisy’s Most Dramatic Coronation Street Storylines
In 2023, Daisy became the target of Justin Rutherford, who developed an unhealthy obsession with her.
The situation escalated dramatically when Justin attacked Daisy on the day of her wedding to Daniel Osbourne, throwing acid at her in a horrifying moment that changed her life forever.
Ryan Connor bravely stepped in to protect Daisy, suffering devastating injuries as a result.
The storyline highlighted the dangers of stalking and obsession, earning praise from viewers for its emotional performances and powerful message.
Daisy later faced further heartbreak when her complicated love life became the centre of another major storyline.
In 2025, she discovered she was pregnant but was left uncertain about whether Daniel or Kit Green was the father after her affair with Kit.
The situation became even more painful when Daniel ended their relationship and Daisy later suffered a miscarriage after being caught up in the chaos surrounding David Platt’s desperate attempt to end his own life.
Daisy’s Explosive Exit From The Cobbles
Daisy eventually left Weatherfield in a way that reflected the character fans had known since her arrival — with one final scheme.
Her exit storyline saw Daisy involved in a plan that left Jenny Connor financially devastated.
The dramatic departure shocked viewers, but because Daisy was not killed off, many fans immediately began hoping that Charlotte Jordan could eventually return.
The character’s complicated relationships, especially with Daniel Osbourne, left plenty of unfinished emotional business.
Charlotte Jordan Opens Up About Life After Corrie

Since leaving Coronation Street, Charlotte has moved on to a completely different role in BBC’s The Hairdresser Mysteries, a crime drama following a hairstylist who leaves city life behind to run a salon in a small town filled with secrets and gossip.
Speaking to Radio Times, Charlotte explained that her years on Coronation Street prepared her well for the demands of her new project.
She said:
“Corrie was a fantastic training ground in that sense, for this particular job.”
The actress also revealed that she enjoyed taking on a character who was completely different from Daisy.
Charlotte explained that she deliberately wanted her next role to challenge her creatively and allow audiences to see another side of her acting abilities.
“I did really like playing a character that couldn’t be more different from who I played… which was great. I was hoping for that. I wanted to play someone next who was the polar opposite.”
Will Daisy Midgeley Ever Return To Coronation Street?
While fans continue to ask whether Daisy could make a comeback, Charlotte admitted that there have currently been no discussions about bringing her back.
However, she refused to completely rule out a future return.
The actress explained:
“Nobody’s asked, but for now I’m happy to keep exploring and keep seeing what…”
Charlotte added that she feels it is still too soon to think seriously about returning, as she only left the soap a year ago and wants to focus on new opportunities.
Her comments will likely reassure Daisy fans, who have long believed the character has more stories left to tell.
A Potential Return Could Cause Chaos For Daniel Osbourne
If Daisy does eventually make her way back to Weatherfield, her return would almost certainly create emotional chaos — especially for Daniel Osbourne.
The pair shared one of Coronation Street’s most complicated romances, with their relationship surviving betrayal, trauma, and heartbreak.
Daniel has since attempted to move on, but Daisy’s return could reopen old wounds and force him to confront unresolved feelings.
His current storyline has also become increasingly complicated following the revelation that Megan Walsh used him as part of her attempt to cover up her inappropriate behaviour involving teenager Will Driscoll.
With Daniel already struggling emotionally, Daisy walking back into his life could create another major turning point.
Daisy’s Story May Not Be Finished Yet

Although Charlotte Jordan is currently focused on new projects, Coronation Street fans know that Weatherfield has a long history of welcoming back memorable characters.
Daisy remains a character with strong connections across the cobbles, from Jenny and the Rovers to Daniel and Ryan.
Her dramatic exit left plenty of unanswered questions, and with Charlotte confirming that she has not ruled out a return, viewers can continue to hope that Daisy Midgeley’s story may not be over.
For now, Charlotte Jordan is embracing a new chapter — but the door to Weatherfield remains slightly open.
