Angie Katsanevas and her husband, Shawn Trujillo, have reportedly separated after an alleged affair.
Following 27 years of marriage, a couple of sources have come forward, confirming that the 52-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, who joined the Bravo series as a guest amid season two and was upgraded to a full-time role for season four, is rumored to have called it quits with her fellow hairstylist spouse.
“This is all alleged as they have not made a statement but apparently Shawn was hooking up with a stylist from the Salon!” Bravo by Gays shared with their Instagram followers on July 19. “Someone has been spilling the tea this weekend to people they thought wouldn’t tell anyone!”
“GIVE ME RHOSLC NOW!” they added of the upcoming seventh season.
After the alleged news was shared, a number of commenters hoped it wasn’t true, as others gave a nod to the gay rumors Shawn had faced in the past.
“This better be false,” one person wrote, as another said, “I’m so sad!”
A third person asked, “A female or male stylist?” Someone else said they hoped Shawn “lives in his truth,” adding a rainbow emoji.
Other commenters suspected it was a “male stylist” and begged for filming to resume.
“I need [Andy Cohen] and a camera [right now],” one person proclaimed.
Hours later, Bravo and Cocktails confirmed the account Bravo by Gays had shared, writing, “Unfortunately I can confirm the RHOSLC split,” adding that they learned Angie and Shawn had split from a “trusted” source.
Additionally, a report from Page Six confirmed the news, sharing that multiple sources had told them the pair, who share 15-year-old daughter Elektra, is no longer involved romantically, and noting that neither party posted on their 27th wedding anniversary last month.
The outlet also said it was unclear whether the marital drama would be featured on season seven.
As RHOSLC fans may have seen, Angie and Shawn began facing rumors of an impending split at the end of last year when fans noticed that Shawn was following some odd Instagram accounts, including one about narcissist abuse and another specializing in female narcissist recovery. However, the following month, Shawn denied the pages had anything to do with Angie.
“I simply have someone close to me going through a rough time. This person sends me pages with thoughts and info on what they are going through. It’s as simple as that. Nothing more nothing less,” he insisted to Reality Shrine.
Around the same time, Angie confirmed she was “still married” on an episode of Watch What Happens Live.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season seven is expected to premiere sometime in the coming months.
