Amanda Holden has issued her followers a playful warning — summer has officially begun, and so has what she jokingly calls her “annual onslaught of bikini shots.”
The 55-year-old television and radio personality has escaped to the sun-soaked Greek island of Corfu, where she is enjoying some precious downtime with her family before friends arrive and, in Amanda’s own words, “the partying begins.”
And if her first holiday update is anything to go by, fans can expect plenty more glamorous moments from the trip.
Sharing a series of striking photographs from a day at sea, Amanda looked effortlessly confident in a red-and-white bikini, completing her holiday look with a wide-brimmed straw hat and classic aviator sunglasses.
Posing aboard a boat against the sparkling blue waters surrounding Corfu, she appeared completely at home in the Mediterranean sunshine.
But rather than taking the glamorous photos too seriously, Amanda accompanied them with a characteristically cheeky message.
“And so begins the annual onslaught of bikini shots,” she joked.
“You have been warned!”
She added that she was “enjoying a little downtime” with her family before friends joined them and the celebrations properly got underway.
Amanda Holden has playfully warned her followers that she is set to begin posting her ‘annual onslaught’ of swimwear snaps now she is on holiday
The TV personality, 55, revealed she is spending some quiet downtime with her family in Corfu before her friends fly out to join them to start the party
She was supported by her friend Elizabeth Hurley who told her that she looked ‘fabulous’, while Piers Morgan was clearly amused and left laughing face emojis
From glamorous poses to a leap into the sea
Amanda’s holiday update was not limited to perfectly posed photographs.
She also shared a carefree clip showing herself jumping from the boat into the crystal-clear water below — capturing a more spontaneous side of the family getaway.
The post quickly attracted attention from some familiar celebrity friends.
Elizabeth Hurley was among those showing Amanda support, describing her as “fabulous,” while Piers Morgan reacted with laughing emojis.
Amanda’s close friend Alan Carr also appeared delighted by the destination, commenting: “Awww Corfu!”
The sunny escape comes after a busy period for the Britain’s Got Talent judge, who only days earlier had been back in London hosting a major awards ceremony at the O2 Arena.
Now, however, the red carpets and packed schedules have been temporarily replaced by boats, bikinis and Mediterranean views.
Amanda reveals what keeps her feeling confident
Amanda has long been known for embracing bold fashion and glamorous swimwear, but she has also spoken openly about the lifestyle behind her confidence.
Discussing her approach to food and fitness, she explained that she does not believe in completely depriving herself of the things she enjoys.
As a vegetarian, Amanda said her everyday diet is naturally fairly healthy, while one of her preferred breakfasts includes an egg-white omelette with spinach, feta and avocado alongside a green juice.
She has also taken inspiration from her friend Elizabeth Hurley’s approach to eating, while still making room for the occasional treat — including an Aperol Spritz in the sunshine.
For Amanda, balance appears to be more important than strict rules.
“I just think life is tricky as it is, so just let yourself have what you want within good reason,” she explained.
“A little bit of everything is good.”
When it comes to exercise, Amanda is a fan of her Peloton bike and reportedly uses it two or three times a week.
The convenience is a major attraction: she can exercise at home regardless of the weather and fit workouts around an often hectic television and radio schedule.
She also credits genetics for playing a role in her naturally slim frame, pointing to similarities between herself, her mother, grandmother and sister.
The secret behind those holiday poses?
Despite appearing effortlessly polished in photographs, Amanda has laughed off the idea that there is some complicated secret behind her swimwear pictures.
Her posing technique, she joked, is surprisingly simple.
“I breathe in!”
She insisted there is no elaborate “trickery” involved — just confidence, a little posing and knowing what works for her.
That self-assurance has become something of a trademark throughout Amanda’s career.
Whether she is appearing on television, walking a red carpet or sharing photographs from a family holiday, she has rarely been afraid to experiment with fashion or make a statement.
Her personal motto perhaps explains it best.
“I’m never knowingly understated,” she has joked — even suggesting the phrase could one day appear on her tombstone.
Refusing to let online negativity spoil the fun
Of course, sharing glamorous photographs with millions of followers inevitably brings a mixture of reactions.
Amanda has previously faced criticism online, particularly over some of her more daring fashion choices.
But she says she has learned not to allow negative comments to dominate her attention.
Rather than endlessly scrolling through criticism, she decides whether a comment deserves to be ignored, laughed at or simply blocked.
Her attitude reflects the resilience she has developed after decades in the entertainment industry.
Being in the public eye means accepting both praise and criticism, she explained, and over time she has developed a thicker skin.
Confidence, however, does not mean she never relies on a few familiar tricks to feel ready for the world.
Amanda has described makeup as her “armour,” admitting she is rarely seen without eyelashes, lip gloss and — perhaps most importantly — a pair of sunglasses.
On a difficult day, she joked, putting on a good pair of shades can instantly make everything feel better.
From a spectacular London stage to the sunshine of Corfu
Amanda’s relaxing Greek getaway comes immediately after another major professional moment.
Earlier in the week, she hosted the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy awards at London’s O2 Arena — an event she described as one of the most surreal hosting experiences of her career.
The enormous venue was transformed with a dramatic catwalk, extravagant hairstyles, towering models and spectacular fashion displays.
Amanda compared the atmosphere to something resembling “a rave for hairdressers,” with the arena packed with guests enjoying the elaborate celebration.
After the intensity of such a huge event, Corfu could hardly offer a greater contrast.
Instead of stage lights, there is Mediterranean sunshine.
Instead of a packed arena, there is open sea.
And instead of presenting awards in front of thousands of people, Amanda is spending valuable time with those closest to her.
For now, at least, the holiday appears relatively peaceful.
But Amanda has already hinted that may not last for long.
Friends are on their way, the celebrations are waiting to begin — and, judging by her playful warning, plenty more holiday photographs could soon be appearing.
After all, Amanda has officially declared the start of her annual bikini season.
And as she told her followers herself:
“You have been warned!”
