BIG Brother fans are demanding producers step in after houseguest Dee Valladares was caught brazenly breaking one of the show’s most sacred rules.
Viewers were left stunned as the Season 28 contestant appeared to ignore the restriction in plain sight, with some insisting she should face an immediate punishment – and even calling for her eviction.
Friday’s live feeds exposed the controversy, which unfolded shortly after problematic contestant Kamu Kirk won the coveted Head of Household competition and earned access to the luxurious HoH suite.
As the newly crowned HoH celebrated his victory, he headed upstairs alongside fellow houseguests Angela Murray and Dee to check out his room and the traditional basket of treats waiting for him.
Survivor alum Dee excitedly jumped up and down celebrating Kamu’s win before he encouraged the group to “eat up.”
There was just one problem – this week, Dee is a Have-Not – meaning she is punished by sleeping in uncomfortable beds and is prohibited from eating regular food
Despite the restriction, she was seen helping herself to multiple snacks from Kamu‘s HoH basket before immediately eating them.
The moment quickly spread across social media, where longtime viewers accused Dee of blatantly disregarding a core part of the game.
“WE, FANS DEMAND AN AUTOMATIC NOMINATION THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND GOES AGAINST THE MORALS OF THE SHOW,” one furious fan wrote.
Another demanded, “Automatic nomination please BB gods.”
A third questioned, “So what’s the point of being a Have-Not if she’s just going to break the rules?”
One viewer suggested a more lighthearted punishment, writing: “She needs to be made to put that egg suit on, and she really needs to be humbled.”
Another tagged the show’s official account and asked: “Unacceptable. What’s the consequence going to be @CBSBigBrother?”
The Have-Not twist has long been one of Big Brother‘s most infamous punishments.
Each week, a select group of houseguests are designated as Have-Nots after a failed competition or by decision of the Head of Household, depending on the season’s format.
Instead of enjoying the fully stocked kitchen, Have-Nots are restricted to eating only “slop” – a bland oatmeal-like mixture made up of nutritional ingredients designed to keep contestants healthy while stripping away any enjoyment from mealtime.
They also typically have to sleep in uncomfortable Have-Not rooms featuring awkward beds, cold temperatures or other unpleasant conditions.
On Season 28, the Have-Not room features a large SPINNING wooden plank that the contestants are forced to sleep on.
The punishment is designed to test houseguests physically and mentally while adding another layer of strategy and stress to the game.
Because of that, eating anything outside of slop, whether it’s candy, chips, cookies or another contestant’s food, is considered a violation of the rules.
Big Brother has historically handled Have-Not violations with in-game punishments rather than removing players from the competition.
In previous seasons, houseguests who knowingly broke the Have-Not rules have often received penalty votes to go on the block, been forced to remain a Have-Not for an additional week, lost privileges, or been publicly reprimanded by production over the house speakers.
The exact punishment has varied from season to season, and producers have occasionally exercised discretion depending on the circumstances.
Many fans are now arguing that the show needs to enforce the rules consistently if the Have-Not twist is going to remain part of the game.
As of now, Big Brother has not addressed whether Dee will receive any punishment for the apparent rule break, leaving viewers anxiously waiting to see whether production steps in – or lets the controversial moment slide.
Hosted once again by Julie Chen Moonves, Big Brother Season 28 airs on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on CBS, with episodes and 24/7 live feeds also streaming on Paramount+.
