Allie Eklund reacted to a fan on Instagram who suggested she had misrepresented her romance with Steven McBee Jr., accused her of “demasculating” him, and claimed she trash-talked his ex-girlfriend, Calah Jackson.
After creator Kezhal Dashti shared a video on Instagram in which she mentioned Reality Blurb‘s story regarding Steven’s claim of having proof of Allie’s alleged cheating, the fan posted a lengthy comment about the McBee Dynasty drama, which Allie, who split from Steven in April, reacted to.
“With all due respect I didn’t know who you were before you dated Steven but once you were mentioned I started to follow you and you posted way more of the two of you and your relationship glorifying it honestly,” the fan had written at the end of last week on Instagram. “Oh he gets me coffee oh he comes and sits like a puppy watching me try clothes on. Oh he helps me pick out what to wear. Etc.”
The fan then said that Allie had made “digs at his ex Calah” before hinting that Allie had misrepresented her months-long romance with Steven.
“So do not sit [here] and all of a sudden act like you didn’t portray the relationship a certain way and now it’s oh I actually dumped him in the middle of recording,” they went on, giving a nod to Allie’s recent claim of a secret split amid season three.
“I agree it’s very good the two of you broke up, but [be] honest. Some of your posts to me were borderline demasculating him to portray that he was your b*tch,” the fan added.
Hours later, in a comment of her own, Allie thanked the fan for their opinion and offered them a response.
“First, I never once made a negative comment about his ex and I actually encouraged him not to either. She and I dated the same person, so I’m sure we’d have things in common. I’ve always said thank you when people compared me to her because she’s beautiful,” Allie insisted. “Second, many of those posts you’re referencing were made at the beginning of our relationship. I’ve openly acknowledged that we were in the honeymoon phase at that time. If you followed closely, you’d notice those posts slowed down significantly around January and February, when I ended the relationship. While I had started noticing red flags before then, my intention was still to protect him publicly regardless. That opportunity has since been taken from me.”
Allie also praised certain qualities of Steven’s, saying she appreciated many.
“He could be thoughtful, kind and attentive. Something as simple as bringing me coffee meant a lot because he knew it was my favorite part of the day. I’ve never tried to take those things away from him. I simply reached a point where the negative began to outweigh the positive,” she concluded.
