In a heart-wrenching tribute to his late father, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, Jack Osbourne and his wife, Aree, have named their newborn daughter after the legendary star. The couple joyfully shared the news on Instagram, posting a beautiful black-and-white photo of their daughter alongside a ‘Hello World’ card confirming her birth on March 5.
The heartfelt caption read, “Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne,” marking a touching homage to the rock legend who passed away last year. In his Instagram Story, Jack added, “She’s arrived and she’s perfect,” with friends and fans flooding the comments to offer their congratulations.

Ozzy, who tragically passed away at the age of 76 on July 22, 2025, just 17 days after performing his final concert with Black Sabbath, is deeply missed by his family. Jack and the entire Osbourne family had traveled from Los Angeles to Birmingham for the historic performance.
The couple’s new arrival comes just months after Jack and Aree announced they were expecting their second child, shortly after Jack’s appearance on I’m A Celeb. Their first child, daughter Maple, is now three years old.
The emotional news follows Jack’s recent revelations about his father’s final days. During a recent podcast appearance, Jack recalled a poignant conversation with Ozzy just after the Black Sabbath farewell show, where Ozzy confided in him about the prospect of cutting his hair. Reflecting on his father’s words, Jack revealed, “He said, ‘I’m not a rock star anymore.’” It was a touching sign that Ozzy, though weary from his long career, was at peace with his journey.
Despite the grief surrounding his father’s death, Jack shared that the arrival of his daughter brought new hope and light into the family’s life. “It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness,” he shared.
Jack’s reflection on his father’s passing continues to resonate, especially following the emotional Lifetime Achievement Award tribute to Ozzy at the BRITs, where his wife, Sharon, and daughter, Kelly, honored his incredible legacy. Sharon, with tears in her eyes, lovingly described her late husband as “the most humble egomaniac you could ever meet.”
This remarkable family tribute shines as a beacon of love and remembrance, honoring Ozzy’s memory in the most meaningful way.
