Coleen Nolan fought back tears on Thursday’s episode of Celebs Go Dating as she revealed a deeply personal and shocking betrayal: her sister had sex with her boyfriend.
The 61-year-old Loose Women presenter, one of six sisters, candidly discussed her past relationships with the show’s dating experts. She admitted: “Every single one of my boyfriends has cheated on me. My very first relationship, he cheated on me. Then the next guy, I was with him for two years, and then he went with my sister. For two years. We lived together. I feel bad because it’s one of my sisters that passed away.”
Coleen didn’t name which sister, but Bernie passed away in 2013 and Linda in 2025, both from breast cancer.
She revealed the lasting impact: “We didn’t have a conversation for over 20 years after it happened. Everyone was like, ‘How can you be so calm about that?’ And I said, well, I’m not going to lose my sister over him because he’s not worth it.”
Dating expert Tara Suwinyattichaiporn commented: “It doesn’t matter how many years ago it was. Unless you have consciously worked on that, you are still the same person who didn’t stand up for yourself back then.”
This year, Coleen joined the E4 series hoping to find love in Tenerife, alongside Love Island star Gabby Allen, 34, and rapper Professor Green, 42. Her journey has been emotional, including scenes where she fought back tears after a date revealed a lack of sexual chemistry.
At the end of the trip, neither Steve nor Andy wished to see Coleen again, leaving her embarrassed and hurt. “I literally want the ground to swallow me up. I am mortified. I really did think Steve would stand up. I thought we had a great connection,” she said.
When dating expert Paul Carrick Brunson asked why Steve hadn’t stood up, Coleen explained: “I was with him for two years, and then he went with my sister. For two years. We lived together.” Steve added that their emotional connection was strong, but sexual chemistry was missing, and he hoped they could remain friends.
Gabby Allen expressed her shock: “He’s digging himself a hole.”
Coleen clarified her intentions on the show: “I didn’t come on here to meet a friend. I’ve got lots of male friends that I get on great with.” The dating experts reassured her they would work hard to find her the perfect match.
