In July 2023, Coleen first discovered a red patch on her shoulder, which was diagnosed as basal cell carcinoma. She also has melanoma, a more serious form of skin cancer, on her nose. On today’s show, co-panellist Charlene White pointed out the mark on Coleen’s face, prompting the star to explain her recent experiences.

“When I asked my doctor about my shoulder, he said, ‘Come back in, it’s carcinoma,’” Coleen revealed. Regarding her facial mark, the doctor advised caution but wasn’t immediately “worried yet.” “It will be something that I will have to sort out and monitor,” she added.Coleen Nolan Skin Cancer Scare: A Personal Account

Coleen explained that she had previously used a chemotherapy cream on her shoulder, which caused scabbing and had to come off. However, applying similar treatment to her face is more complicated due to the proximity to her eyes. “You’d have to be literally in your house for a month,” she said, noting that makeup would not be possible during treatment.

The star remains focused on monitoring her condition while continuing her public and professional commitments, sharing her story as a reminder of the importance of early detection and careful medical care.
