David Beckham could barely contain his excitement as England secured a dramatic World Cup quarter-final victory over Norway in Florida.
The former England captain watched the match from the stands at Hard Rock Stadium alongside wife Victoria Beckham and several members of their family, joining thousands of travelling supporters for one of the tournament’s most anticipated games.
England endured a difficult opening period after Norway took the lead through Andreas Schjelderup. However, Jude Bellingham restored hope shortly before half-time, scoring an important equaliser in added time.
The goal prompted an emotional reaction from David, who immediately jumped from his seat and celebrated enthusiastically. Victoria, seated beside him, appeared far more composed, creating a lighthearted contrast that quickly attracted attention.
Their children were equally delighted. Romeo and Harper celebrated together, while Cruz’s girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, embraced him as the England supporters around them erupted.
Bellingham Inspires England’s Comeback
Bellingham later struck again to put England ahead, completing a memorable turnaround and sending the national team into the semi-finals.
When the final whistle confirmed the victory, the Beckham family rose once more, applauding the players and celebrating with the crowd. Victoria was seen embracing David as the family shared the emotional moment together.
As Oasis anthem “Wonderwall” played inside the stadium, David stood arm-in-arm with sons Romeo and Cruz, singing along while England supporters continued their celebrations.
The result secured England only their fourth appearance in a men’s World Cup semi-final, adding another historic chapter to the country’s tournament journey.
Beckham Family Shows Its Support
David attended the match in a smart suit, while Romeo wore a white England shirt with a black beanie. Victoria opted for a relaxed grey satin top and aviator sunglasses.
The family had already spent several days in Miami, where England used the training facilities of Inter Miami—the Major League Soccer club co-owned by Beckham.
A day before the quarter-final, David visited the training session and spoke with England captain Harry Kane. Kane later explained that Beckham had wished the squad well and regularly sent supportive messages after matches.
The striker also praised Beckham for allowing England to use Inter Miami’s facilities and described him as an important figure in the national team’s history.
David, who earned 115 international appearances and captained England on 58 occasions, watched the session from the sidelines with Romeo and Cruz.
Royal Congratulations for England
Following the victory, the Prince of Wales also shared a message congratulating the team on its performance under challenging conditions.
He praised England’s resilience, acknowledged Norway’s efforts and looked ahead to the upcoming semi-final.
A Special Family Weekend
The match formed part of a memorable weekend for the Beckham family, who were also celebrating Harper Beckham’s 15th birthday in Miami.
David and Victoria marked the occasion with affectionate social media messages and family photographs documenting Harper’s childhood.
Victoria described her daughter as kind, funny and inspiring, while expressing her pride at watching her grow into a young woman. David also shared a personal birthday tribute, telling Harper how much she is loved.
The family later enjoyed an intimate celebration featuring a pink birthday cake and relaxed moments together.
With England now through to the next round, the Beckhams will have another major occasion to celebrate as the national team continues its pursuit of World Cup glory.
