Donald Trump Jr. and socialite Bettina Anderson are already dreaming big after quietly tying the knot—hoping to host a future wedding celebration at none other than the White House. According to an exclusive source from PEOPLE, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are expected to attend whenever the celebration takes place.
The couple officially married in Florida on May 21 in an intimate ceremony at the West Palm Beach home of Bettina’s twin sister, Kristina Anderson McPherson. The ceremony was officiated by Bettina’s brother-in-law, real estate attorney Bradley McPherson, and the couple’s signatures on their Florida marriage license confirm the union.
In a move that breaks with traditional Trump family extravagance, Don Jr., 48, and Bettina, 39, opted for a small, private Bahamas celebration this weekend—choosing intimacy over fanfare. A Palm Beach insider explained that the timing was deliberate: “July 4 belongs to America, and early fall is not a good time to plan a wedding in South Florida or on the islands due to unpredictable weather. They decided to do it now in a place they both love.”:max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():focal(438x0:440x2)/Bettina-Anderson-bridal-shower-041326-2-10142016c6e54ffb8c7e330d13ef1046.jpg)
The pair first announced their engagement at a White House holiday event on December 15, 2025, setting the stage for what many hope will eventually be a glamorous White House celebration. President Trump, 79, shared on Truth Social on May 22 that he would be unable to attend the Bahamas ceremony due to “circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America.” He wrote, “While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon-to-be wife, Bettina, circumstances do not allow me to do so. I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time.”
Despite the absence, the White House remains central to the couple’s plans. An insider told PEOPLE that Don Jr. and Bettina hope to one day host a wedding celebration at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, with the president and first lady in attendance.
This marks Bettina Anderson’s first marriage and Don Jr.’s second. He shares five children with his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump: Kai, 19; Donald III, 17; Tristan, 14; Spencer, 13; and Chloe, 11.
From a quiet Florida ceremony to dreams of a historic White House celebration, Don Jr. and Bettina’s love story continues to make headlines—and set new family traditions.
