In a moment of pure TV chaos that left This Morning viewers in stitches, Alison Hammond was caught off guard when Paddy McGuinness spilled a major ITV secret live on air.
Paddy appeared on the show with his Soccer Aid co-host, Jordan North, ahead of the event’s 20th anniversary, when he inadvertently exposed a behind-the-scenes shakeup at ITV. As the two prepared for their interview with Alison and Dermot O’Leary, Paddy pointed across the studio, shouting: “She’s over there! I didn’t know that!”
What followed was pure gold. Paddy, in his excitement, revealed a new studio-sharing arrangement between ITV’s daytime shows, much to Alison’s dismay. “It’s just there,” Paddy continued, motioning to the Loose Women set. “Spin the camera around! I was like, ‘Where are you?’ and you’re right there!”

Alison, clearly flustered by Paddy’s antics, desperately tried to maintain the magic of This Morning, pleading: “Don’t break the magic, Paddy!” But it was already too late. As Dermot joined in, accusing Paddy of ruining the magic, Paddy was already on his way. Just moments later, he was seen hugging Loose Women host Kaye Adams, while the This Morning team laughed hysterically.
Kaye jokingly invited Paddy to stay and join the Loose Women panel, but with an interview to finish, he quickly rushed back to his seat, saying: “I’ve been on telly for 20 years and only just got onto that!”

ITV’s Daytime Cuts Shake Up the Schedule
But Paddy’s playful antics weren’t just about spontaneity—his visit uncovered a much bigger story. Now, This Morning and Loose Women share studio space, while Lorraine and Loose Women have been cut down to just 30 weeks of air time each year.

Meanwhile, GMB (Good Morning Britain) has extended its run, taking over part of Lorraine‘s previous time slot.
Today on This Morning, Kaye revealed that the Loose Women panel would be off-air until next month due to these changes. And with the Cheltenham Festival taking over ITV’s schedule next week, Loose Women will be replaced by special coverage, while Lorraine will also be off, with GMB now running until 10am.
