Visibly emotional, Suzanne admitted she had stepped back from social media while trying to process the heartbreak.

“I’m going through a breakup — which I genuinely never expected to be saying out loud.”

Suzanne and Sam Greenfield became engaged in 2014 and welcomed their son Rafferty a year later. They were together for more than a decade — making the split all the more shocking to fans.

What made this moment different, Suzanne explained, is how she is facing it.

Having quit alcohol six years ago, she said she is now navigating heartbreak with clarity — not numbness.

“It’s been tough — really tough,” she admitted.
“But thank God I’ve got the tools to navigate this. Six years of not drinking. Six years of real personal development.”

Overcome with emotion, she added that sobriety has transformed how she copes with life’s most difficult moments.

“I’m glad I now have the tools to face something like this sober.”

“Things Have Taken a Different Road”

Suzanne was candid about the pain — but also about growth.

“Things have taken a different road,” she said.
“It’s been tricky. I’ve not been perfect — it’s been a bit messy — but I’ve leaned into therapy, meditation, running, eating well.”

Rather than avoiding the pain, she says she is learning to sit with it.

“I’ve learned that I need to lean into the pain and heal.”

Calling this moment a “new chapter of deep healing,” Suzanne revealed she is choosing self-love over silence.

“I’m entering the era of having the greatest love affair with myself,” she said.

She explained why she ultimately decided to speak out:

“It was important to share this. It was important to close one chapter so I can move into the next.”

“I didn’t know what to say from January until now — but nearly March, I’m ready to go on this journey of true self-healing and give myself the highest quality of love.”

In her caption, Suzanne asked fans to respect her privacy, making it clear she would not be sharing details of what led to the breakup.

Two years before her engagement to Sam, Suzanne was married to Heart FM presenter Jason King, 51 (pictured in 2010)A Painful Past — and Hard-Won Strength

Suzanne’s romantic history has long played out in the public eye.

She was previously engaged to Darren Day, who famously walked out on her and their seven-week-old son Corey on Mother’s Day in 2005 as she battled postnatal depression.

Speaking last year, Suzanne revealed he “went out for a curry and didn’t come back,” later admitting it was no surprise she developed postnatal depression after the ordeal.

She later married Jason King, a Heart FM presenter, in 2009. The couple separated in 2012.

Choosing Strength This Time

Now, Suzanne says she is no longer repeating old patterns.

Instead, she is focusing on healing, sobriety, and self-worth — choosing clarity over chaos, and strength over silence.

This time, she isn’t numbing the pain.
She’s meeting it head-on.
