Fans of The View have raised concerns after co-host Joy Behar appeared to have trouble walking on Thursday’s live episode, prompting co-host Sara Haines to step in and assist her.
At the beginning of the show, Joy, 83, was seen walking out on her own but quickly leaned into Sara for support. Sara then helped her to her seat as the audience looked on in concern.
Joy made an inaudible comment to Sara before the two sat down, continuing with the show as planned, which featured celebrity guests like Kate Hudson, Justin Theroux, and Nikki Glaser.

Joy’s difficulty walking could be linked to an injury she suffered in November 2025 when she broke her toe after accidentally dropping an iPad on her foot. She had previously shared with viewers that the injury was extremely painful, and even displayed her bandaged toes on-air.

While the show went on without issue, fans have noted that Sara frequently steps in to help Joy, sparking discussions on social media. One user on Reddit complained, “Sara needs to stop helping Joy walk in and sit down on The View. Her hand on her back only makes her look fragile and decrepit, she is NOT; she is sharp, informed, and capable at 83.”

Despite this, many fans are concerned about Joy’s well-being, with some questioning the toll of age on her physical condition. However, Joy, who has been a part of The View since its inception in 1997, continues to be an integral part of the show, known for her sharp wit and insightful commentary.
The 83-year-old star had previously taken a brief hiatus from the show from 2013 to 2015 but has since returned.
Joy, along with Sara, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sunny Hostin, was a part of the lively discussion on Thursday’s episode.
Fans continue to send messages of support to Joy, hoping she is recovering well and is able to stay strong for future shows.
