Fans were left stunned after Anthea Turner postponed her wedding for the FOURTH time — nearly 7 years after getting engaged to fiancé Mark Armstrong.

ANTHEA Turner has postponed her wedding for a fourth time for a bizarre new reason – despite being engaged for seven years.

The TV presenter, 66, said yes to businessman Mark Armstrong in September 2019 after a whirlwind two-month romance.

But now the star has halted plans for the big day yet again, and revealed she wants to sort out renovating their lounge first.

Speaking to Woman’s Own magazine, Anthea said: “We need to sort it out [the wedding], and we absolutely will, but we’ve got a lounge renovation that’s just about starting.

“We’re not together because we want to breed or because it’s the only way we can buy a house.

“We’re together because he is my go-to, he’s my best friend, he’s my everything.

“I can’t think of anybody I would prefer to be snuggling up to at night. I am truly blessed that we found each other.”

Their wedding was first postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19 making gatherings and events difficult to host.

Their nuptials were then postponed a further two times following the deaths of both of their mothers.

After gushing about Mark, Anthea continued to explain that they already “feel married”, so neither her or Mark are in a rush to officially tie the knot.

Anthea continued: “Although it would be nice to get married someday, it’s not our priority – but it will happen someday!”

Earlier in the year, Anthea shared that she originally liked the idea of getting married in Italy, following Mark’s proposal in Rome.

However, now she prefers the idea of something smaller without the “faff of organising anything abroad.”

Anthea previously had a lavish wedding with her ex-husband Grant Bovey, but would now much rather have something that feels more “her”.

Chatting on Vanessa Feltz‘s Channel 5 show about it, Anthea admitted: “It was so extravagant, really when I think back now, I do remember thinking ‘this is not me, I don’t really want it to be so big, this was nowhere near what I wanted’.

“But I sort of got bamboozled into the whole thing, and it got bigger and bigger and bigger.”

Anthea and Grant were married for 15 years between 2000 to 2015.

They first split in 2012 and briefly reconciled before separating for good the following year.

The pair officially divorced in 2015 after Grant was found to have been unfaithful.

Before meeting Grant, Anthea was married to Radio 1 DJ Peter Powell, who she left in 1998 to be with Grant.

Anthea and Peter were married for eight years before their relationship came to an end.

Anthea then met Mark in 2019 at a private member’s club in London, where they were introduced through mutual friends and began dating shortly after.
