Graham Norton’s much-hyped reality show The Neighbourhood has been canned just days after its finale, following disastrous ratings and a flood of viewer complaints. ITV had high hopes for the show, which featured real-life families competing against their neighbours for a life-changing prize, but it failed to land with audiences.
Despite its prime-time slot, The Neighbourhood only managed to pull in 500k viewers by episode three—far below expectations. By mid-series, ITV had already moved the show to a late-night slot, and now they’ve decided to cancel it entirely.
“It’s been a damp squib,” an insider revealed, with the series now becoming another casualty in ITV’s string of low-performing shows, including Genius Game and The Fortune Hotel.
While The Neighbourhood faltered, Graham Norton’s BBC chat show continues to thrive, with three more seasons already greenlit by the Beeb. Fans can rest assured that his iconic late-night gig is going strong despite this setback.
