Katie Price has opened up about her growing fears for her eldest son, revealing that his weight could put his life at risk if it continues to rise.
Speaking candidly on The Katie Price Show podcast, the former glamour model admitted that she is terrified something could happen to Harvey, now 23, who weighs around 30 stone (188kg).
Katie described her growing concern for Harvey’s health, especially his breathing at night, which has become increasingly alarming. “He snores, wheezes, and sometimes even stops breathing,” she said. “It’s terrifying. He’s just getting bigger and bigger, and I’m scared he’ll have a heart attack.”
Doctors have previously warned Katie that Harvey’s weight poses a serious risk of heart complications. “I’ve been told again and again that if he doesn’t lose weight, a heart attack is a real possibility,” she admitted. “As a mum, hearing that is the most frightening thing imaginable.”
Harvey, who suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome—a rare genetic disorder that causes an uncontrollable appetite—has also been diagnosed with ADHD and autism, making weight management even more difficult.
Despite years of trying to control his diet and encouraging physical activity, Katie revealed that finding a solution has proven to be incredibly difficult.
“I’m not criticising the NHS,” Katie clarified. “But I can’t just sit here and do nothing. I need to find someone who can help him.”
Katie, a devoted mother of five, has made it clear that she will continue to fight for her son’s health and wellbeing. “I love Harvey more than anything in the world,” she said. “I’ll do whatever it takes to help him live a long life.”
For Katie, the battle to protect Harvey is far from over—she remains determined to keep searching for answers.
