Loose Women star Brenda Edwards is set to celebrate her late son Jamal Edwards in a moving BBC documentary, highlighting the incredible impact he had on the music industry.
The feature will chart Jamal’s extraordinary journey from launching SBTV at just 15 to helping catapult global stars like Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Dave, and Jessie J into the spotlight. Never-before-seen footage and intimate interviews with family, friends, and artists will reveal the man behind the music legend.
Jamal, who tragically passed away in 2022 at 31 from a heart attack linked to cocaine toxicity, left a lasting mark on youth culture and music. Brenda, speaking about the documentary, said: “Jamal is proof that one bad decision can have devastating consequences. His story will continue to inspire and educate.”
The 90-minute BBC documentary is currently in production and is set to air in 2027, promising a heartfelt look at Jamal’s legacy and the lives he touched along the way.
