Online star and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner, Angry Ginge, has shared heartbreaking news with his fans after a devastating fire destroyed his mum’s home—just days after he starred in this year’s Soccer Aid.
The 24-year-old YouTuber, real name Morgan Burtwistle, turned to Instagram Stories to reveal the tragic events, explaining that he was taking time offline to support his family.
A Call That Changed Everything
Speaking on a live stream earlier this week, Angry Ginge shared the shocking moment he received the call: “Morning of Soccer Aid, I get a phone call saying mum’s house has burned down. This is what we are dealing with now,” he said, his voice trembling.
Despite the chaos, he reassured fans that no humans were hurt, but revealed the heartbreaking loss of his mum’s beloved pets.
“They Didn’t Make It Out”
In a tearful update on Twitch, the star confirmed: “My mum had two cats and a rabbit in the house. They obviously didn’t survive, so rest in peace, Simba, rest in peace, Herbert, and rest in peace, Sparky.” He paused, visibly emotional as he shared photos of the animals, reflecting on the deep bond he shared with them during his childhood in Bacup.

On Instagram, A Silent Struggle
Earlier, Angry Ginge posted a photo of himself with a thumbs-up emoji, captioning:
“Just letting you all know I probably won’t be live tonight… we’ve had a major family issue… At the moment, I need to be with the family and make sure everything is ok. Hopefully get live soon. Love you.”
