Josie Gibson has spent years putting her son, her career and her own wellbeing first.
But now, at 41, the much-loved This Morning presenter appears ready to open an exciting new chapter in her life — one that could finally include romance again.
After rebuilding her confidence while navigating a deeply personal battle with lipoedema and undergoing thousands of pounds’ worth of cosmetic procedures, Josie has reportedly told those close to her that she feels ready to meet the right man, fall in love and perhaps create the big family she has always dreamed of.
And her hopes for the future go far beyond finding a partner.
Josie has also revealed that she would love to foster children, admitting that if life had unfolded differently, she might have had a much bigger family of her own.
“If I’d met the right man, I probably would have had about 10 [children],” she said.
“I would love to foster.”
It is a touching admission from a woman who has spent much of the past several years focused on raising her seven-year-old son, Reggie.

Ready to believe in romance again
Josie has largely remained single while concentrating on motherhood and her increasingly successful television career.
But according to reports, something has changed.
She has rediscovered a confidence that had been missing for some time — and now she may finally be ready to let someone new into her life.
A source told Closer that Josie is “quite an old-fashioned girl at heart” despite enjoying a little harmless flirting.
“She likes a real man’s man,” the source claimed, adding that she is ready to be “swept off her feet” and wants to experience those butterflies and passion again.
The This Morning presenter, 41, has had £7,000 worth of liposuction on her arms and calves over the last year amid her lipoedema battle
And it seems there may be no shortage of potential admirers.
Josie has reportedly received plenty of flattering messages through Instagram, with some apparently leaving her blushing.
But this new confidence has not appeared overnight.
Behind it lies a much more complicated journey involving her health, body image and a condition Josie says had left her feeling physically uncomfortable and held back.
A major transformation after her lipoedema battle
Over the past year, Josie has undergone around £7,000 worth of liposuction on her arms and calves as part of her efforts to manage lipoedema.
Lipoedema is a chronic condition involving an abnormal and often symmetrical accumulation of fatty tissue, commonly affecting areas including the legs, hips, buttocks and arms.
For Josie, the condition reportedly affected far more than how she looked.
She previously described experiencing significant swelling, particularly after long days on her feet.
“You swell up a lot and you can’t really out-train it,” she explained.
“If I had been out working all day, my legs would be like a balloon. I was always having to wear compression pants.”
Josie said she felt it was important to address the condition before it progressed further.
“If I hadn’t got hold of it now, it would have got worse,” she said.
Her treatment journey also included a brachioplasty — a surgical procedure designed to remove excess skin and tissue from the upper arms.
Josie revealed earlier this year that a significant amount of tissue had been removed during the procedure.
She was open about her recovery, even showing her surgical scars rather than pretending the transformation had been effortless.
But for Josie, the biggest change may not be what viewers can see.
It is how she now feels about herself.
“She finally feels she looks good”
According to the source quoted by Closer, Josie has embraced her newfound body confidence — even treating herself to new matching lingerie.
“She’s loving the changes and feeling like her pin-up best,” the source claimed.
It marks a striking shift for someone who has previously spoken candidly about struggling with areas of her body despite exercising.
Josie had tried to stay active but found that certain areas simply did not respond in the way she expected — something she later came to understand in the context of lipoedema.
Rather than relying on surgery alone, she has also thrown herself into a broader wellness routine.
She bought a treadmill to help increase her daily steps and sometimes creates her own circuit workouts at home.
She has also spoken about using collagen supplements and electrolytes, as well as undergoing lymphatic drainage treatments while learning more about how the lymphatic system works.
During her post-operative recovery, Josie even rented a hyperbaric oxygen chamber for several months.
The treatment involves breathing oxygen in a pressurised environment and is used medically in certain circumstances, although claims around broader wellness applications can vary.
Josie said she believed the sessions helped support her recovery.
“I rented it for £500 a month,” she previously explained.
“It was pricey, but helped the healing because oxygen renews all the cells. I’d get in it for 90 minutes when I had time.”
She has also explored other wellness practices, including building a copper pyramid structure associated with meditation and energy-healing practices.
Whatever people may think of her unconventional wellness experiments, one thing seems clear: Josie has been investing considerable time and energy into feeling stronger and more comfortable in herself.
And now she appears ready to share that happier version of herself with someone else.
Her colourful romantic history
Josie’s love life has naturally attracted public attention ever since she became a household name after winning Big Brother in 2010.
Viewers will remember her high-profile relationship with fellow housemate John James Parton.
She later became engaged to Luke Sanwo and subsequently had son Reggie with former partner Terry.
In more recent years, however, Josie has largely focused on motherhood rather than pursuing a public relationship.
Earlier in 2026, speculation briefly surrounded her friendship with social media personality Sam Wolfenden after they appeared together while Josie was presenting This Morning from the races.
Some fans wondered whether romance might be blossoming.
However, reports later indicated that Sam was already in a committed relationship and engaged to his childhood sweetheart Grace Richardson, putting an end to the speculation.
For Josie, it seems the right man simply has not arrived yet.
But unlike before, she now appears ready if he does.
A bigger dream than romance
Perhaps the most revealing part of Josie’s comments is not that she wants a boyfriend.
It is what she imagines could come next.
Her admission that she might have had “about 10” children if she had met the right partner hints at just how important family has always been to her.
And while life may not have followed that exact path, Josie has not abandoned the dream of giving more children a loving home.
Her desire to foster could offer another route towards the large, lively family she once imagined.
At 41, Josie’s story is therefore less about desperately searching for romance and more about feeling ready for possibilities she may previously have put aside.
She has a son she adores, a flourishing television career and a renewed sense of confidence after confronting a health condition that had affected her physically and emotionally.
Now there may finally be room for something else.
Love.
Whether the right man arrives tomorrow or much further down the road remains to be seen.
But Josie Gibson appears to know what she wants: someone who can bring back those butterflies, embrace the family life she treasures and perhaps join her in building an even bigger family in the future.
After years of putting so much of herself into motherhood, work and rebuilding her confidence, Josie seems ready to open her heart again.
And this time, she may be looking for something worth waiting for.
