Janet and Peter, a 70-year-old former restaurateur, have been in a relationship since 1999 but have kept their romance largely private. The couple chose a quiet, intimate ceremony in Great Yarmouth last Saturday, with their beloved dog Badger also joining them in the celebratory video shared on the show. ITV Loose Women panel

In the heartfelt video, Janet spoke directly to the Loose Women audience: “Hi everyone, I’ve been keeping a big secret. It’s my big news for everyone. Peter and me, and Badger, got married on Saturday, so there you are. I finally did it,” she said, before adding with a smile: “I saved the best till last.”

The star’s previous marriages have spanned several decades, starting with photographer Tim Street-Porter in the late 1960s, followed by marriages to Time Out editor Tony Elliott, Canadian filmmaker Frank Cvitanovich, and David Sorkin, whom she married in 1997 before divorcing in 1999. Peter Spanton, her current husband, has been by her side since that time, and the couple have now made it official after more than two decades together.

Janet is currently touring the UK with her one-woman show Off The Leash, with upcoming performances in Blackfriars, Southampton, and Hampshire.
